A couple of new additions - both custom orders from Aero - a Coastal Command Irvin in their pebbled merino shearling and a Shackleton with leather back in tobacco badalassi. Really delighted with these and already breaking in v nicely - the badalassi grain is emerging and the typical “wavy” moulding is taking shape. The Irvin is lighter than my Eastman ANJ4 so fills a gap rather than overlapping - the latter is for the really cold weather, the former then takes over as temperatures rise - both get equal wear at present in the UK. The Shackleton is really a very handy jacket - I wear it around the house at present but it also fits under the shearlings and also will be getting a lot of wear come the warmer months.
Is the CC new? It looks very different from mine in terms of the leather. It looks like it came here straight from 1940. Cool.

Yes - its is new (to me - do not know if the hide is new to Aero) - there is a small upcharge for this leather - £40 I think - it has a really nice patina and texture to it and is v soft to wear. I don't know if it a lighter/thinner fleece than their standard offerings - that is the case with the merino Flyweight Irvin that Eastman offer vs their standard shearling, but it is still substantial and v warm. The ANJ4 is warmer still, but is less flexible - both serve their purpose.

Mine looks like this in the meantime:

Both nice, but that Shackleton is something else. Enjoy

What do you guys think of this Mister Freedom Breezer, dare I ask? Picked it up second hand for a pretty incredible price, judging by what it goes for new. I think I'm really into it! I have been obsessed with different Harringtons for a long time, and have also been looking for an M421A for a while. Apparently, this is designed as a sort of hybrid:

"Departing from purely replicating the past, our Breezer blends 50’s swing tops, 40’s US Navy/USMC summer flight jackets and 60’s British vibes, into a casual classic-looking jacket."

Lots of fun details like the diamond elbow patches and pockets in weird places, ha.

F**k, my wife has a new love. She borrows my D-1 remarkably often. I hope I can wear the jacket myself once in a while. lol

haha. My wife started grabbing some of my stuff this year. We're having a pretty cold winter in Los Angeles, relatively speaking. Many nights and early mornings in the 35-45f range when we walk the dogs. She likes the deck jackets and sherpa type stuff. It actually makes me feel good so the jackets get more wears LOL and I don't feel like I wasted too much money.

The eternal quest for my perfect leather jacket ended when I found the Delraiser by Flat Head. View attachment 489995
Looking fantastic as ever man. Something about Flat head jackets with a little bit of wear on them, they seem to develop this really unique, subtle oiled texture. They use their own Shinki formula I think?

that is super nice. Seems softer and more "approachable" than the J24L. It is very similar to my Ridley with the hardware and stripped down features, otherwise I'd be really tempted as I think there's been one in the classifieds for a while now.
Oh man! If there's one in the classified... I would grab it up if I were you! Never know when they'll release it again.
I waited 3 years...

Size up one!
