I won’t be getting many style points today, but with our current windchill of -10F, this old JC Penney rancher is doing its job

Todays weather is not very picture friendly, but I'm wearing the new pioneer wear vest and my Taylor's Chicago PD.

I really just wanted to see how the vest wore under my leather jacket ( my wool vests are all a roomier fit ), and it does very well.

Ummmmm that gets 100 style points.
Thanks, haha. The jacket is pretty sweet. Not sure how it pairs with my black fleece lined Coleman pants I got at Sams Club. Those happen to do the job too, though. Not bad for $20! I’m pretty sure I picked the jacket up for somewhere around $20 as well over the summer.

When I bought this jacket back in 2019 I never even heard about Buco nor did I know what a D-pocket was. I also didn't realize how good it actually is. Nice shoulder slope, perfect taper to the hem. Like it was custom made for me.

Edit: @torfjord Eastman indeed
Sometimes, when you try a jacket on, you just instinctively know it’s right for you.

Thank you. Needs a little TLC but all zippers work and are in good shape and was had for a decent price. Found it odd that one epaulette snapped directly over shoulder seam and other falls so it is snapped in front of shoulder seam by 1/4” QC missed back in the day I suppose.

Those wolves are great, and the hide looks so cool. Rember to properly brush the jacket with a nice horsehair brush before any wet treatment is done.

Ralph Pugh - 1941 cross-zip. Bit of a snug fit, but I think I can work with it. Really beautiful, thick leather with a lot of character in the form of grain and scars. Condition was pretty much immaculate, except for some holes in the handwarmer pockets that were easy enough to fix.

Oh HELL YEAH! What a score! Leather is absolutely incredible. It fits on the tighter side, but still it looks good on you. Congratulations!
