Wearing my Aero Classic MC today. I’m on the fence with this one. Love it, but it ended up in classifieds. Might regret that someday
Not even November yet and I’ve nearly run through the whole stable. Crazy and unusually cold Fall this far. Temps to hit near 80 on Sunday. LOL. God bless the Midwest. No clue who wool HB.

Circa 2010 Banana Republic chinos. Believe it or not I hunt these on eBay. They were made well then. Very thick and 100% cotton, perfect cut. I’ve developed a hatred for pants with elastic. It’s surprisingly hard to find pants without “action, stretch or flex”. I’ve got 5 of this same pair, about 5 more in other colors. They are dirt cheap on eBay and I buy every pair in my size that I see.I like the pants too. What are they?
Nice. I also can't stand polyester and spandex etc. Socks perhaps as I find it difficult to slip into boots wearing 100% cotton socks. I got three pairs of Ben Davis from Japan. All reasonably heavy cotton, not the regular poly blend ones. But not the cut you would go for as I am into wide pipe cut these days.Circa 2010 Banana Republic chinos. Funny how we latch onto things we like. I just paid through the nose for some Costco brand wool hiking socks on eBay because they’re my favorite boot socks.Circa 2010 Banana Republic chinos. Understandable - ForgivenI’ve been hoarding Dickies 874 (non-flex) off eBay.
Understandable - I search for the flannel lined version (good for Raynauds)Circa 2010 Banana Republic chinos. Believe it or not I hunt these on eBay. They were made well then. Is this a 70s Excelled!? Definitely one of the nicest I've seen. Looks a lot like a Sears Oakbrook.I really need some advice. Just recently bought this 70s Excelled leather Jacket in a different than usual style. The leather is extremely comfortable to wear and not so heavy. It only has a few small seams that would need to be fixed but I cant decide if it will be worth all the trouble considering ive already paid alittle more than id like for a used leather jacket. plus I think id get the belt removed because it feels flimsy
I can still send the jacket back but id like some other opinions first if I can do better.

Jup pretty much the main reason I got it. Its not quite as boxy and the length is alittle longer too. Doubt that its even close to the quality of an oakbrook or hercules thoughIs this a 70s Excelled!? Definitely one of the nicest I've seen. Looks a lot like a Sears Oakbrook.
it worth it to fix, if you think it is.
buying a jacket isn't an investment that will have a return. If you like it and will wear it and it fits your needs etc. get the damage fixed and enjoy it.
the jacket looks to me like it fits you well.
Ill just be straight up and say I paid 300 Euro for it. Like I said I have that lingering feeling I could do better. I see so many people on this sub buy way better Jackets in nicer condition for way less. Here in germany I just dont have the same oportunities compared to lets say france.
I was absolutly shocked how many nice jackets I could find on french vinted. But unfortunatly I need a french phone number.
Haha I think youve convinced me. Yeah 50 years does put it into perspective. Especially the last line. I really do have to learn do better with enjoying my hobbiesWell, I have zero knowledge about the vintage market (other than say @Marc mndt who already chimed in, among others), but I will say this:
This looks like a very nice jacket considering the fact that it´s supposedly ca. 50 years old. Plus, it´s a perfect fit for you.
Only you can decide, of course, but "doing better" is a perfect path to eternal unhappiness, and I think you really scored here.
