What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Cooper. Cool jacket. @Monitor you were right. Really nice leather, reminds me of the stuff Schott uses on their legendary line. Sweet grain. A bit large (measurements were actually smaller than my norm) but doable with a shirt and will be a nice jacket to layer with.

Good question. I think if I was a motorcycle rider I would definitely have known the brandname Harro before.

If you know anyone who used to ride in the 70's, they ought to tell you how major Harro was. I mean, you can see why, especially the way it fits and all...

Great fitting jacket never goes out of style.

Why did you sell your Harro jackets? I hope not the one you posted here? It looks fantastic!

My first Harro didn't fit me very well and tho I loved it, it was just too small and restrictive. Second one was... I think it was waaay too big. Then I got this 70's Harro cafe racer styled jacket for my ex, really great, simple piece and eventually she bought me a beautiful blue Harro and we sort of had this deal going on that we'd both wear Harro jackets as she loved the one I bought her so once we broke up... I don't know, the maker just brings up memories I certainly don't need. That's the only truth there is to it. Idiotic and maybe weark, I know but that's the way it is. I sold all my Harro's since for that reason.

with the Brimaco (I actually wore it during an evening walk today with family) I bought through Vinted for 89€ I had the same feeling but the leather on the Harro is way better!

You'll see some fantastic jackets but believe you me, Harro will remain a certain landmark of quality to you. I'm sure you'll handle fancier or nicer jackets but nothing that'd warrant a $50 upcharge, let alone $1K+.

This is my SB Halfbelt. I bought the jacket three or four years ago. I wasn't beware of the history at that day. Today I wouldn't by a SB again. Nevertheless this is a great jacket - especialy for the price. The first pictures is new. The other two a few years old. Unfortunately the jacket is a least one number to big as I lost 12kg.

I also think the fit looks good with the layers you have.

Speaking of which, what kind of vest of that? Looks great

@I really like your LW bolero aka trucker and it looks very good on You! I‘ve seen one listed on EBay a couple of weeks ago. Is it mid-weight goat suede or heavier?
Hey Robbie - this jacket was on eBay for a long time, at least a year. I put in an offer and it was accepted. Not sure the leather, but it is hefty, the jacket is size 38 and pretty short, yet it weighs 3.6 lbs, so I would call it mid-weight. I am really enjoying it, I need more color in my closet. :)

Marc you have a nice jacket and it fits you really well though to me this isn’t an Aero. The stitching, zip etc. I think this is a later iteration after the Aero x LVC collaboration ended. Does the tag still say UK made?
You might be right. The zippers are unlike anything Aero uses.

This is a pre-production sample. There's no 'made in' label on it. Maybe Levi's had a couple of different manufacturers produce a 'Bird of Prey' sample jacket and this was one of those.

It may also be possible that this sample jacket was made by Levi's themselves. I used to work for Hugo Boss. HB's design departement used to produce sample jackets in Germany (their headquarters are in Metzingen) while the production runs were done in Turkey.
