First real day out for the recently "restored" Ben Sherman biker jacket. We have had a run of 36 to 39C days of late.
This is a "warm" jacket being UK based ( despite the manufacture in Pakistan !)
Long in the sleeves , but it is a "Biker" jacket , zippered sleeves and all. Not "zip tight" like Vanson tho' !
Reaching for the 'bars they are fine. Jacket does balloon a tiny bit at 110 Km/H compared to some of my others.
17C start with 1% chance of rain , hence low humidity.
31C on the return leg , avoiding traffic and red lights as much as we could.
As usual carpark ( dedicated motorcycles) photo taken at the coastal beer stop.

Hey, I was mostly looking at the infrastructure

Hey Downunder, I was mainly focusing on the infrastructure, reminds me of Canada or Europe, much nicer than the States. Our streets are unbearable sometimes, potholes, cracks and crevices, poor engineering etc etc. someday I’ll make it downunder!

Merv mate , Western Australia is a relatively "rich" state from mining of commodities , iron/nickel/coal/diamonds/gold and more. So added to a relatively "young" recently expanded population a lot of the infrastructure is "very new".
Department of main roads spend big , to our advantage as motorcyclists thankfully !

Great jacket! What leather is this in? I am anxiously waiting for my Heron to arrive any day now, I had mine spec'd in the med brn pigment finish. Really looking forward to getting it in
Thanks man! I’m pretty sure it’s the medium brown pigment but I bought it second hand so I’m not 100%. Definitely a great jacket!

I recently picked up this cool jacket made by Addict Clothing, it’s called the TRI-jacket from Butterscotch LB.
I was really wanting this jacket after I missed the order cut off in September. But, Tommy at Butterscotch came through for me. Thanks Tommy! So now the critique: The jacket fits me in the shoulders and arms perfectly, but the mid section of the jacket is cut really strange. Instead of tapering; it is cut straight or maybe even a little convex. View attachment 313496 I don’t know if this is typical for Addict Jackets or just a anomaly on this particular jacket. I’m really looking to see if once the jacket breaks in, the leather will relax and not feel so boxey through the middle.

I don't really have hard data to back this up, but i think that "tubular body from the pits down" thing is pretty common in japanese patterns. It looks like the average japanese man is shaped like a rectangle rather than the inverted triangle V we take for granted in other parts of the world.
My RMC and Freewheelers have very wide bottom hem and very little drop from the chest down and i have seen this on a lot of japanese made jackets.
Shoulders are usually tighter than what we would expect too.

IMO this is what people mean when they say japanese patterns aren't adapted to western men.

Looks awesome in design. The fit looks good and not boxy at all in the photo. Anyhow if there is a little room it will allow you to wear a vest underneath when its chilly and you’re on the bike.

One of those that I don’t pick often enough: Addict „Corsair“ Hommage. Changed to my FL „Route66“ later as the day warmed up, and I didn’t need a chunky jumper anymore.

Sorry for the COVID hairdo. Apparently the hairdressers are allowed to open up again from next week on.

Ok, cause if it was a 40, I was going to offer a trade for my J24L
Ah got it. If it was a 44 that would be tempting. In regards to your tri jacket, I saw another post somewhere (can’t remember if it was TFL or SF) who purchased the same jacket and talked about the boxy body, so I think that is just how the fit is. The fit looks good in your pic though.
