Today here is another rare/uncommon LW jacket, the Nightrider J-23.
This jacket is unique, they only made one (i asked Stu and he told me they made less than 5 of the Green peacoat i posted yesterday). Apparently it has no historical inspiration, Buco never did a "Nightrider" like Trojan did, this was purely imagined by the previous owner who ordered it.
It reached me pretty much unworn, no signs of wear whatsoever, it was a new jacket for me.
Size 44, techincally one size too big for me, but it fits well with a thick winter jumper.

Floor pics when new:

Today, after wearing the jacket maybe 20 hours total:

Just won this beautiful horsehide and wool trench by Skinnarland. Vintage piece but like new, happy on the gamble!

That looks pretty freakin cool..

looks like that jacket found the perfect owner!.. looks great.
I like the new background as well.. you may need to update the data base from the new location.

Thanks Boyo, yeah I was shocked when it arrived looking almost like new mate. It’s a hell of a thing, I’d recommend these coats to anyone looking for a winter trench

It’s negative 8 million degrees in Chicago. The kind of weather that makes me curse like a drunken sailor when I have to walk 8 feet to the garbage can. I’ve been doing my daily due diligence, cleaning the house, laundry and the lot in this Aero. Much like the owl, I’m trying to get to the center of this tootsie pop.

I didn't even know they had so many variants, pics or it didn't happen!

All 6 Irvins. Some vintage some brand new. Different colour sheepskins. Different types of pockets and no pockets at all.

And a few more words about the niva in Russia, this car is also used for its intended purpose, it is very common in rural areas, as well as it is used by hunters and fishermen, but there are still a few tuning studios. there is also a modification of the Chevrolet niva, this is a slightly different car in appearance, but in the filling it is not much different from the first three-door.. Seconded! The leather trench is perhaps under appreciated here, maybe it’s the dodgy historical links attributed to some of them (sadly encouraged by certain eBay sellers)? But a long leather coat is a great practical piece of winter wear (depending where you live), it will see off showers better than wool coats and with the right lining is properly warm... plus you get some good exercise if you walk around with the inevitable weight of all that leather/lining...

I’ve got two currently, my vintage Elvo dispatch rider coat and a very nice shorter/lighter seal brown horsehide Pegasus trench. And I still miss my old wool lined black leather vanson Luftwaffe in the old completion hide. That was a true beast of a jacket that I wore every winter for 10 years until it went missing/was stolen when I sent it to Aero for a re-line during the dying days of William Lauder’s management (before he got jailed). I (eventually) got some financial recompense from the owner Ken Calder, but the jacket was irreplaceable and I still miss it... (breaking in a vanson Luftwaffe in the old competition weight hide is not for the feint of heart...). Lots of good memories with it and it is still the jacket I got the most compliments for, it drew a lot of (mostly positive) attention so not just the weight/stiff leather that was not for the feint of heart!
