I just picked up this very old Avirex G-1 (1979 vintage!) off the ‘Bay for $80. The super grainy goatskin of the Avirex jacket is the exact same color and weight as on my 1941 Willis & Geiger M-422a!
Avirex started making repro WWII jackets in 1975 and back then their quality, materials and detailing were excellent. Sad how the company ended up.

Gotta agree it looks better than the tan one. Tan just looks off when compared to this one. You need to revert it somehow.

I’ve abandoned all common sense/ logic on this jacket. I’m sending it to Dena tomorrow to narrow the sleeves. I don’t know... Maybe it’s covid brain. Scratched up hide, meh construction. There’s something about it though. Must be the weight. My spectrum is showing. Bon voyage turd.

Always wanted to try this natural cxl jacket by schott but it took so long because of its rarity. Nothing bad to say. Love the leather, i have seen some images of it after years of wear and its sick! Question is will i keep it long enough to achieve that greatness? We'll see

Hey ton if i wanted dena to add zippers to the cuffs of my Arcadia would you trust her? Would it even be possible ? Im pretty sure she doesn't have matching shinki, would she need a little leather to do it?

I am 100% sure she could do it. But yeah you’d need to get a bit of matching Shinki for the the sleeve cuff gussets.
