I don’t know how you guys do it.

Only the thought of wearing denim, a jacket or boots in the heat makes me sweat.

I’ve been wearing linen, cotton, seersucker and cellular cotton for a couple months now and I melt. We are reaching close to 30 celsius on a daily basis and only the summer sack coats I have and the vintage jackets are a choice apart from short sleeve obviously.

Thanks very much!

That Ooe jacket is really cool. Works great with just jeans. Man, I wish I could wear any kind of hat... Just too chicken to do it.

Thanks! I think it's my best fitting jacket. I know that's blasphemous given my leather jackets, but I really think it is. You definitely can. You just have to jump in and believe that you will look good in one... and then you will. I just loved hats so I never even thought about whether I would look good in one or not. I just assumed I would. Not because I think I look good, but because I just loved hats and a hat not looking good never crossed my mind.

It depends on the day. Where I am rarely even hits 90F. It is also very dry here so I can wear cotton jackets in 80F weather easily. This jacket was worn when it was in the mid-upper 70s. Today I wore a t shirt, jeans, hat, and boots and no jacket in 82F weather.

I’ll bite: I thought I really liked the heavy stuff until I bought my first Vicenza jacket. Made me realise I’ll choose the comfort of a mid weight hide any day of the week. Sold 2/3 cxl jackets (still holding on to the dustbowl though) because while they age beautifully and look awesome they are a chore to wear. I’d rather wear jackets that don’t leave me feeling sore and exhausted after a couple of hours.

That's more to do with bad patterns than it is with the heaviness of the leather.
I barely wear my Aeros, cause like you i find them uncomfortable, but i am currently living in my LW jackets, they are thicker, heavier than CXL, but they have well desinged patterns and are comfortable to wear.
IMO Aeros look good on a coathanger but they feel pretty bad on the back.

You have stuff to wear 'em with, the kind of gear that doesn't make the hat stand out & it all looks balanced and cool. And the fedora works for you. I really like mariner's cap a lot but I just feel it'd look silly on me. I just can't jump in like that... :(

Can confirm.

LW is a very heavy jacket but I too can practically exist in it. And I would have if the summer didn't hit full force. 35C outside so leather jackets are all kicked back into the wardrobe.

My dreams and wishes of wearing a LW vest this summer has also turned into disappointment. I think I'll let go of it after all because this is annoying.

Straight out of the box, only 5 minutes of wear to check the sizing.
The leather is i think my favourite up to date, i am pretty sure it is thicker than my previous 2 LW, and is loaded with grain and stretch marks, just what i like!
Fit is perfect, the change to the pattern came out great, fit pics still to come in a couple weeks once it is broken in.

I always assumed that was because of the stiffness of cxl, but then again I’ve never tried a LW or any of the other heavy weight contenders. My mid weight Aeros are very comfortable to wear.

I can also confirm that the pattern has much bigger influence than the weight of the leather or its stiffness.

Thats exactly the modifications i would choose also, they make it look more like an everday sports jacket instead of a uniform " im on duty" jacket " at least to me it does

That looks amazing! Love the grain and stretch marks on it!

I didn’t mean to express doubt in yours and Carlos840’s experience, both of your collections are much bigger and a lot more varied than mine are. You both have experience from a lot more jackets from a lot more makers than I have.

I was just adding my experience, it was pretty eye opening to realise this aspect. :)
