What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

@Carlos840 , yep, I see what you mean... It'd be best perhaps to wait for the 42 before making any stupid moves but I gotta say I really like the way that brown J-24 fits you. It's a bit wide but looks really cool and while we both know it doesn't work as simple as that, I'd have advised you to keep that thing if you had asked.

Wish I could just trade it for something... That'd make things painless because selling always sucks.

I would definitely not sell it untill you have spent a winter with both sizes.
But i agree with you that it is a bit big, at least with only a T-shirt.

To me the brown J-24 is far too big, i have never worn it once, i just keep it cause its a brown J-24 and something you don't see everyday, but it really doesn't fit me.

If it's your favourite jacket, you keep it. That's regardless of whether other people think it could do with a size up or down, or an inch on the sleeves or off them, or if you've been eating nothing but pizza for three months or if it was asparagus.

Keep it. I have a Highwayman that is probably, although my size (40), a size too large, has creases all over the place, does not fit me like a sausage skin, etc. and is the jacket that my friends and colleagues associate most with me. No-one has ever commented on the smaller aspects of fit at all- if that's your favourite jacket, it stays with ya.

Okay guys, I need you to be as honest as possible right now 'cause a choice has to be made. Lost more weight and... I don't know, the jacket feels okay but I'm sure what it looks like. So, too big? Classifieds? Or do I keep it? I don't really care one way or the other, to be honest. It's my favorite jacket but if it isn't meant to be... That's life.

That is 100% a keeper. Only on a site like this would people notice that the fit is a little loose through the body. It still fits better than damn near any jacket you’re going to find on anyone walking down the street and it is 10 times cooler!
Also, you are almost certainly going to gain that weight back when things get back to normal (whatever that means...).

Monitor, I have the same thoughts as everyone else. Keep it! You'll regret if you sell (I still do regret selling my J23, but I regret more not just getting the lining right the first time and then never having the need to sell it).

And BTW - congratulations on the weight loss. That's not easy to do... :)

i didn't remember how it fits before you lose weight just over a tshirt, but didn't you spec it to wear your jackets with hoodie underneath? honestly it looks rather boxy equally on every part on that photo, but it doesn't make it look too big, just a more relaxed fit probably looks great over hoodie or denim jacket

@Monitor If you think and feel more comfy that the jacket needs to fit super tight, then "Classifieds" or just wear it during Autumn/Winter with an additional layer but IMO it still fits you quite good (sleeves look long but are unzipped) and I would definitely keep it!

Slightly late, I think it looks great, Monitor! The outstanding piece in your collection. It does look like a relaxed fit, but I wouldn’t even call it roomy.
Weight changes. Have a look at “Himel TV’s” episode on The Chevalier to cheer you up!

Don’t want to intrude, but the following always helps me through dire times: “In the end, all will be good. If it’s not good, it just means, it’s not the end yet.”

Aight, thanks a lot, everyone. Well, y'all basically tellin' me the jacket's great if I plan on layering which to me translates as freaking too big! Nah, I'm kidding, I know what you mean. I'm getting really tired of that "perfect" fit, which I've landed a couple of dozen times in the past, only to sell the jacket afterwards and I really just wanna stick with something that's good enough - and this LW is. I still love wearing it and looking at it so I guess it'll stay for a while now. Thanks again, I really appreciate it you took a moment to help me out!

I plan on getting back on a bike this summer and by the time I'll need the jacket again, I think I'll be grateful that it fits a bit large. Always works better for me on a motorcycle, especially once it gets colder.

@Tom71 , that I gotta remember and keep in mind. Thanks, man!

I think that interesting back creasing into triangular shape like that is only possible if the back is a bit roomy, and after the side gets softer and follow your waistline better then it will look a lot less boxy, giving it a chance is the right decision man
