The jacket that started it all for me. 1990 Eastman Luftwaffe in Horsehide. Bought "mail order" in Devon England.
Like me , the jacket has been resident in Perth Western Australia for near 30 years now.
Occasional use only jacket this, having at one time been my only and EVERY day jacket ! ( I have LOADS of others !)
It has been relined here in Perth by Sinikka leather in the late 90's. Most days here "too warm"
NOT SO today. That blue sky although looking lovely belies a 6C start. Constant COLD wind from the east ( the desert !)
2 shots to try and show the "patina" even tho' the jacket has been redyed by me as it had become "brown" over time.

Don't dye it again. The brown peeking through is one of the coolest things about it. Great jacket :)

HUGE shoutout to @Monitor for posting this in the finds and deals thread. 50 gbp trucker jacket arrived from eBay today. I absolutely love it. The description said there were stitch holes on the back, but I can’t find them anywhere. Leather is real thick and nice, high quality, beautiful stretch marks. It’s a bit of a chore to do the buttons up. Fit is good I think (I was afraid it would be too small, I normally take a medium/40 and this is a small), arms are a little too baggy but that’s alright.
This is my first foray into leather trucker jackets. I think it was fairly successful.

Is a custom vest according to my ideas. Five Star Leather did it again.
This time I tried the "Capeskin", which is a lamb skin. Unusually light for leather, but pleasant for summer. I will take even better photos.

Super cool. Looking forward to seeing more of it.

Oh ****, I wish you didn't post this! At first I thought it'd be perfect for me, then figured the back would be too short but now that I see it... I'd work! You're taller than me, too. It's AWESOME and I mean it! I know people'd think it's too short but for me, that's how a trucker jacket must fit. You hit jackpot with that one! Glad I shared the link, really am.

Thanks again, buddy! Yeah, I’m with you on the trucker length. Nothing ruins a trucker more than 26 inch back length, it just looks wrong.
I understand that people don’t want a huge gap between trousers and jacket. However, the solution to that problem is spelled Wrangler cowboy fit jeans and only costs 20-30 $.

I’m really happy you posted this as well :). If I ever feel like I want to move it on, you have first dibs!

You just need a good hat and you'd fit in the American west. "Torf Goes Out West"
Looks really good!
