Perfect jacket for these warmer spring evenings.

Both jackets are a good fit. Pardon my curiousity, but I'm doing some kind of research here.. with these two jackets, which one is more comfortable in the neck area? The biker jacket appears to have a larger neckhole..

I also read that they had the basic police model and the civilian version they could modify any way you'd want. Padded elbows / shoulders, quilted bits, etc. Same as Langlitz, actually. Few models you could extensively mod. The gear is similar weight like Langlitz mid weight cowhide. Very tough, beautiful leather. Even though the suit I got must be ancient, the leather feels literally brand new.

That's actually really cool! Just read about it. Shame Vanek doesn't have a website, I'd love them to date my suit. I think it's really old. But the quality and the make of Vanek gear is off the charts. It's really something else. Shame more people don't know of these Austrian and German makers, like Harro which also used to make motorcycle jackets that ought be as famous and sought after as any Buco.

Anyhow, is your jacket also lined in moleskin?
I have the same one like you, moleskin liner. The other one has a quilted liner and padded shoulders and ellbows. Maybe I should start a thread about Austrian and German leather jackets. But maybe not, because the're sometimes really cheap because people don't know them.

I was often thinking the same but I don't know if anyone'd care but us. If only more people handled just Harro from their golden age... And there's so many. Good Hein Gericke, Vanek, Harro, vtg. Polo, etc.

Dude, where do you get inspiration for your style? You just get the stuff that you like or do you look at the old photos? TBH, three people here do it right and you're one of 'em. Jacket and jeans is cool but this is very much closer to what this forum is all about... And I wouldn't have a clue where to start.

Thanks for the kind words man I really do appreciate it.

Western films were my first influences, but the more relevant influences were people on forums, specifically Denimbro.
The clothing I wear is all raw denim, heritage menswear, or 'work wear' inspired stuff. Some of it is from the US, but most of it is from Japan.

So basically, most of what I wear is vintage-inspired clothing. I could give you a lot more details if you want, but I don't want to completely derail this thread.

No offense Dude, but you look nothing like bros in Denimbro or Sufu superdenim, a lot less fade and a lot less denim...:D

Thanks to @Tommer45 for breathing new life into my ELMC 40L with its just-slightly-too-long-for-me sleeves. I can't stand having them constantly press onto my wrists. I know some will say these look to short now but you're wrong lol

Some jackets look better with the sleeves ending at the wrists. It does look sleeker. Absolutely nothing wrong with it.
