What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I used a MacBook to post it and didn’t give me an option to change the direction of the pics. Maybe it’s just Apple trying to be difficult.
I’ve found my pics need to be 4:3 aspect ratio. If they are 16:9 (vertical) it displays horizontal. So if I crop yours a bit they display vertical.

Nice jacket too btw! Hard to beat the fit of the two pocket Brooks.

  1. Good to know! Thanks Tony.
Good to see you guys on the other side of the globe getting into jacket weather. I’m ready for t shirt weather myself but Mother Nature won’t abide. Another 1” of snow last night. Then 60 degrees F by the weekend. Spring in Chicago is a psychotic mess.

Yeah mate, it’s been a very hot and long summer. It’s was about time we can use the jackets again.

Beautiful Highwayman!
Is it a Premier? It looks like some kind of hybrid.
Congratulations, it looks fantastic on you!

I thought only us Navy guys used the term “gig line”! Glad to hear it again in “common” usage! :)
I had to look it up.

Gig line is a military term that refers to the alignment of the seam of the uniform shirt, belt buckle, and uniform trouser fly-seam. In order to be properly dressed, these three should align to form a straight line down the front of a person's body.

Today was a Pegasus Luftwaffe with added length to the sleeves. It's brown horsehide with a black topcoat. For roughly the last five years it's been my main winter coat. If I had a complaint, it'd be that the body is a little boxy for me. The chest fits well but the bottom, at times, feels a bit too loose (like I'm a bell clapper rattling around in it). Personally, I'd prefer more V shape to it. Since it has been my winter jacket, that's mitigated some by wearing layers and a scarf, though. Second complaint is the left side pull works its way out of the buckle. Only the left. It must be something to do with how I move, sit, etc.
