Going down to 70° F tonight so, I had to break out the GW Arcadia Italian horsehide, and throw on a Stetson Whippet.

Vanson model C. I love the simplicity of this jacket. Would’ve been cool if Vanson outfitted the back with buckles like a model B. This back is identical to a B but with a belt and loops. Taking little one to Malificent today so we’ll see how good it is at candy smuggling. Some pics, as I exit the galaxy hopper...

So this arrived yesterday. Aero „Team“ Board Racer in black Vicenza leather (size 44). One of these impulse buys where you can’t be sure how they work out.

I have been having a lot of fun today wearing it around town for sure. The fit is good, IMO. At first I thought, I could do with a slightly shorter body, but after a day of wear I am good as it is. The zipper starts exactly at my belt, so there is really not that much room for debate.
The cut is really slim. Still, shoulders and P2P would allow for some layering, but the armholes are cut so high that even a shirt is not really comfortable (I tried an Iron Heart Western shirt).

The leather sure wasn’t love at first sight. I am absolutely sold for Horweenˋs heavy stuff (which Aero couldn’t do on the „Team“ BR), so initially I thought the Vicenza looks and feels inferior. Again after wearing it all day (in a strange mix of windy, rainy autumn and spells of sunshine with high humidity) I am reconsidering. It’s certainly an easy-wearing, comfortable leather that was pretty soft out of the box and loosened up already after a few hours wear-time.

So I am really keen on your guys feedback. I knew this order was a gamble, but on Day 1 I am pretty happy with it.

Are the letters painted leather patches? Or fabric?

The letters are leather, topped with Chenille. The fabric is (for lack of a better word) very shortly shaved, so I don’t worry about damage caused by abrasion or so.
All others details (stars, stripes,...) are leather.

Man one day I'm going to have to visit Aero...ideally to pick up a jacket.

You absolutely do have to visit Aero in Galashiels. They do make me feel really welcome and the factory is fascinating. And the a nice walk in the Eilden Hills and along the banks of the beautiful River Tweed. A beautiful part of the world. And perhaps a dram of fine malt whisky...

He almost had the part but I stole it out from under him and got to pop a few caps in the baddies.

I don’t keep up with what’s coming out, so is this a new movie being released?
