Re-dyed Langlitz Cascade in goatskin. I might still resort to going black on this one. View attachment 189943 View attachment 189944
That was the work in progress you posted about a week ago, right? Looks great. Do Fiebings dyes run when the jacket is wet? That would be my only concern - I am considering dyeing a beater jacket I got off the bay but am concerned about Fiebings dye running.

I can’t decide if I like this one or the Rich Sher better. But damn they are both perfect “perfecto” style jackets. Much better than Schott. Even if all the hyperbole of the years from Schott is true and they invented the first ever in this style. Even if it were true Brando wore a Schott not a Durable, the Lawrence and Rich-Sher did it better!

Exactly what I was thinking after seeing both jackets posted. Even when I knew very little about vintage leather jackets I'd still have looked at them and thought how definitive of the 50s leather cross zip they look. Cooler, for want of a better word, than Schott by far.

I wanted to add that recently I've been putting some hard effort in at the gym and increasing my workout levels (carefully but with renewed vigour). Depending on how my body feels after the next few weeks, I will either (jokingly) curse @ton312 or thank him for his inspiration. End goal: who wouldn't want to look that good in a Vanson, or any other jacket?

Vanson Enfield. This jacket needs more love, it's really a great jacket, just a bit too heavy, and squeaky, to my taste.

I used too much so I spent a lot of time cleaning up extra dye. I've yet to get wet, however, I get the feeling some residual dye might still show itself.

Green! You want green? Do I have green for you! Picked this up for 50 quid off the bay - another impulse buy. Seller said length is 24" - no way. Still fun little jacket for St. Patrick's Day or something. Brand is Chevignon, looks to be from the early 80's, very heavy aniline dyed leather.
