My good old dark-grey simple storebrand peacoat.

Winter coldness starts today in old Germany and will be minus °C from tomorrow on. But today, the peacoat was still too warm.

It really is something special. I look at my black one and feel defeated haha. Normally I pull the Chopper out and use it as a trump card. Nothing can beat how thick, tough and well made this is. Then @JMax pulls that out and I go back to feeling down.

Go to Paul Cox Industries and check them out. I would then call Vanson and direct order from them. The stitches on mine are more subdued than the Cox version. Another thing is that Cox's version are the typical S-M-L used for Choppers. Vanson can build in-between sizes and include some other basic tweaks. Do it man-- it is a great jacket. And the recent Octagon is really nice.

Haha. Too funny. Prior to some odd infatuation with CL that I got going on right now, I considered building a Chopper in the X-150 leather. Love that leather. Isn't that what you have? Or CW?

Mine is CW but its that odd batch everyone hated and thought Vanson got new CW and ruined their image. Mine is from 2016 and is that less shiny, less intense black, more printed CW. Still rock solid, just as thick and heavy, and construction is perfect, but just lacks that something Vanson CW is known for.

Got it. That batch created quite a bit of suspicion about what the heck Vanson was doing. Still great stuff though. Perhaps less great in the eyes of some, though I never really subscribed to that thought process. Vanson jackets just need to be worn hard, for a long time.

I've been wearing my Daytona again today. I love it! I got caught walking in some pretty heavy rain this afternoon, and I can convince myself that it's exacerbated the sleeve creases :

Today....a friend wanted to see my E. Didn’t take much to convince me.
So....here ya go. Vintage Vanson E, black tag, no flag, weighed in at near 9lbs+/-, leather is like nothing else i have.
It’s big, i know. But some times you just gotta go with it.
