Yep, I was on the fence at first, but these old school racing Bates jackets rarely come up and then disappear quickly, so I pulled the trigger. Thankfully it fits... and it's definitely got some serious vintage mojo!
But I really think this one would have been way too tight on you, Ton.

Would really like to see some fit pics of this jacket! :)

I really really like this Levi's trucker jacket. A splendid purchase, sir!

I don't know how the weather is in your locale (Alberta) but is this jacket suited to warmer (summer) weather?

And I have to compliment you on your photography. Every image you post looks very professional. What equipment do you use?
It’s pretty good for cool summer nights and gray days. I can wear it comfortably to about 20-22 degrees Celsius with a T shirt.
Thank you for the photography compliment:) I shoot with a Nikon DF and D750. I use prime lens exclusively (28mm, 50mm, 85mm all f1.8). I also use my iPhone 7 Plus in portrait mode at times as well:D

Great fit, could you perhaps share how much give you have seen in the leather through the body? I remember and could find your original post describing just how trim the jacket felt, the pictures are there no longer for comparison. I recently acquired a Ridley, it fits tighter than any of my other jackets through the body, tricky even to get the zip started.

If anyone else would like to chime in with their insight into how this style of jacket should fit to begin with it would be greatly appreciated. I don't ride any type of bike and layering is not a consideration as I have other jackets for cold weather.

Cheers
Initially the jacket fit very snuggly across the torso for me. I could not layer it and if I ate a large dinner, I was uncomfortable zipping it up. Currently I lost some weight since I got it and it fits looser in the torso and feels better I can actually layer a sweater under it now. I believe with me wearing the cr@p out of it, it might have stretched and molded about 1/2 inch. The way it fits now with break in and weight loss is much better now.

Thank you very much for your reply squire. Hmm, I am carrying a little puppy fat from the extra beers consumed to handle the intemperate weather we have seen in Scotland recently :)

Hey guys I just picked this up as a bargain. I think it's an original windward, from Toronto and bought in London, UK.

Talon runner got teeth missing and lining is pretty worn, also collar worn, no holes but top layer gone in places. Would aero be the best to fix her up? I love the fit, not sure if worth much.
