As always, sorry for stupid posture. Tellason Chore Coat today.
(Plus the "new" from 1951 US Army Trousers. I think I've never handled such a well-made product before. My tailor said the threads were a pain because they were so sturdy. So many little details. I know all of you people probably know these kind of trousers, but for me this is like my holy grail I never knew I was looking for. Just doesn't go well with the J-21... [emoji52])

I like it in all of those looks, J-21 included. Great pants for sure and I like what your tailor did with them. You will be enjoying these for many years.

I went with military pants today too. As far as I can figure out they are East German from the 60s. Jacket is a Filson Double Mackinaw.

The Filson Double Mackinaw is a well designed coat from which I would get very little use here in the Texas Sun Belt. I did wear my Filson Mackinaw though this morning. Last year toward the latter part of the season, I sourced a Mackinaw Field Pant in my size 38, set the inseam at 35" to accomodate my long legs, and have not worn the pants a single time this year during perhaps the mildest winter ever recorded in N Texas.

my apologies for not mastering the craft of posting pics.... Not sure if this is the right thread for this subject but here goes. I have a modest collection of 4 leather jackets and have one grail jacket I picked up from tmitchell59 (a Johnson leather Hercules in black FQHH) I have held off on the Aero or equal purchase, mostly due to the price, (new or used.) But I have been amazed to find the absolute steals to be had on Ebay of longer leather coats or car coat length. I have picked up 3 beauties in the last two weeks paying no more than $50 for each. All three in like new condition, a cow hide (almost looks like a CXL tanned hide) in a cordovan, a deekskin possibly full hide, and a very substantial nubuck. All pristine, all great leather and at $50 each a steal. Two are US made and the other off shore, all three quality well made product. Is it merely a style thing? Are shorter jackets just more desireable than longer leather coats?
