Didn't Einstein do that? Wear the same thing everyday so he didn't waste mental resources and time working out what to wear?

I honestly don't know but it sounds like him. He actually didn't wear socks in his big black boots. He said they're just wasted resources as they break all the time. I wear socks by the way.

As far as I understand it, this derives from the movie The Fly, with Jeff Goldblum. His character, Brundle(Fly) ascribes his clothing choices to Einstein. From the thread on Einstein's leather jacket sale, I think we have some evidence that he did indeed vary his clothing.

I think A-1 has got it down so does not need to vary his outfit. Probably the best reason.

Type III denim jacket here as well, from Tellason.

I'm back in NYC, visiting after almost two years. Stopped by the Schott NYC store, of course, and tried on jackets. Lots more horsehide now than I remember last. The 618 HH is tempting me! CAF1 out of stock, was told Schott has "discontinued" it - oh the shame! They also have a new half-belt style with sunburst back in cordovan HH, around $1300 range. Was in a rush (had to meet wife) so couldn't linger & take pics.

Edit, here is the jacket on the Schott site: https://www.schottnyc.com/products/sunset-limited-edition.htm?catID=7

Seriously man, I just bought the exact same jacket recently, and my Scrambler is sporting that same pannier bag too - the first version of the Iron & Resin Terrain pannier! Might as well get myself that newsboy hat and a pair of Dr. Martens in the same color - both of which I've been contemplating, incidentally - and be done with copying bluesforchallah!!!
