No way, man. I was posting denim and leather trucker jackets in general for months and nobody bat an eye. You buy one, suddenly, the place might as well be called The Denim Lounge. All your doing.

I've tried that with a 21oz denim jacket. Doesn't work. But should with something lighter.

Oh..OK. I was a kid during the 1950s..teenager in the '60s, etc. Denim was always worn and popular here in the states as work and casual jackets. I still must say that I never saw a denim jacket out in the wild with multiple stacked sleeve creases like that. Along with what was stated in your link, I still think that something else was purposely done to achieve that affect. I like the rest of the jacket but think those creases just look very weird and quite unnatural for denim.

Maybe if you wear the denim jacket and wash normally it will never happen HD, i think you also never had a crotch of your denim destroyed within a year, some people now like to exaggerate in wearing and not washing their denim to get certain fading. Maybe this jacket has been worn inside another denim jacket, so the creases get abbrased by another denim and quickly fading.

Quality denim will fade like that. I've never seen it on a Levi jacket in person but there are countless examples of such perfectly faded Levi/Lee/etc. jackets online. Modern high quality denim is to some extent engineered to achieve such look but other than the perhaps shorter amount of time it would take the wearer to get there, there really isn't anything fake about it.

These creases are referred to as honeycombs, I believe.

Comparing heavy selvage denim to “mall” denim is as inappropriate as....

^This is exactly what heavy denim does. It’s made for it and it doesn’t take long to do. Just like a Nordstrom leather jacket won’t crease/patina neither will your typical mall denim. There’s nothing faked with these jackets. It’s simple wear and maybe a trip to the tub for a soak.

You guys would get that in your leather jackets if you wore them 24/7 like the denimheads do with their stuff. That's how they get those fades so quick and why their denim is destroyed fast.

Obviously depends on the lifestyle. Sitting in hip coffee bars all day with the wifi and taking uber from home to work and work to home won't get you that look.

I miss the guy who used to have the Instagram: Workinginworkwear , I believe he got fed up with social media and just quit. He actually worked as a construction worker with modern workwear reproductions putting them to real test.

True and false. I’ve only had my 526pJ for about 3 weeks (thanks @Psant25 !) and it’s already well underway. The thing is once you crest the 20oz, maybe even 18oz mark, the material behaves like leather. It has memory and retains creases but the indigo loosens and fades/ falls off way faster than say CXL loosing top coat, oil and waxes. Both are good! Spread the love man. Spread the love!

creasing settling in like leather would, fading I guess depending on UV light and abrasion to it, with pants it happens everytime you sit, the back of your leg brushes against the seat, in jacket what would be in contact with the inside of your elbow? maybe crossing and uncrossing your arms nonstop for 5 mins everyday Ton what arm exercise that make the elbow bent and then move side to side, how many repetition should I do?

well unless you wash your denim weekly , line drying it in the sun, and then iron it flat, then nothing will ever develop permanently, even thick heaviest denim would probably turns into uniformly light blue blanket. my grandpa used to iron my jeans flat to make it looks nice and tidy. and my grandparent probably washed my pants every maximum 10 wears with soap and rigorously washed with brush or against washing board or later washing machine.... not slight agitation with woolite dark on a bathtub weightened by several glass of water, there was no such thing

That sounds like me. I actually work as a construction worker and I have worn almost every one of my leather jackets to work at least once. As far as pants go, I have tried a few different styles but always come back to Carhartt cotton duck double knee work pants.

That’s a nice jacket when it darkens a bit it’ll be even better!

What size did you go for? I noticed freewheelers sleeves seem to run somewhat long in their leather jackets at least. I reckon they do that for riding.
