Aero Half Belt Horse Hide. The grains are getting kind of nutty on this one and only four weeks of wear.

That is an insanely beautiful jacket!

Thank you. It’s amazing how HH softens with time and wear. It feels like a completely different jacket compared to when I first pulled it out of the box; it was at first intimidating, but it’s becoming my favorite jacket. And the break-in is just barely beginning.

@Hh121 That's the first I've seen the 1950's Half Belt... Looks like a more tapered version of the Highwayman. How do you like it?

It's little bit tapered in the waist, otherwise it's same cut(According to Aero). My highwayman in the left is 38 while half belt is 40 which has little bit roomy to allow me wear heavy shirt in the winter.
I like both jacket very very much. But half belt is less tricky to get good fit compare to highwayman.

Winter Storm Skylar hitting the East Coast hard. Blizzard conditions, powerful wind, ice cold temps, blah, blah, blah! :D
I know it’s starting to sound repetitive but it’s just more of the same cruddy weather we’ve been getting the past 2 months.
On the bright side, it’s a great time to break in your foul weather gear!
My Navy deck jacket is logging lots of hours in the elements.:)
I’ve added my old military dog tag as a zipper puller (along with the orange safety whistle) to facilitate zipping up while wearing heavy gloves.
Keep your chin up, Thor. In a couple of weeks it'll be springtime.

That jacket looks nice on you. I think of that label as late 40s. I seen different variations of this made in California label from Montgomery Wards. Other stores like Sears, with their Hercules labels use palm trees and talk about California. This is going into the 50s. There was a big interest in all things California, plus many jacket makers in California. California sportswear company was also very big throughout the country.
