Might be a silly question, but how do all these heavy leather jackets hold up in the rain. It is finally raining in CA. Great to put out the fires! I would think that you don't have to baby, FQHH, Vicenza, Steerhide, Cow, well maybe suede? I don't ride.

I ride daily rain or shine. FQHH has no problem with rain. Heavy leathers in general will hold up just fine. I don't grab my lighter jackets or ones with exposed mouton when it's raining (I'd hate to have a truck hit a puddle next to me while wearing my grizzly for example). I have an Aero in oil pull horse that I wore as my rain riding jacket for around a year. It did dry out a bit and age faster than if it hadn't been in rain but it held up well. Recently I've been wearing my Lost Worlds heavy horse jackets when it rains and they don't show any signs of wear at all.

I wear my Shinki HH whatever the weather. It has been soaking wet a few times. The jacket hasn’t changed at all.
I would never buy a leather jacket and only wear it when it doesn’t rain. That would be impossible in these parts of Germany.

Nick, that looks so easy and perfect on you. Not a bit like most heavy leather jackets look on most everybody else. I don’t mind seeing photos of you wearing it every day...

It actually is quite soft and easy-going. Just not when driving! Thank you, and Aerofan.

Hello everyone,

Avirex 1986 A-2 but it seems a little oversized to me, i'd like your opinions on this kind of jacket, I've been looking a lot of vintage pictures of A-2 and besides the one from "Pearl Harbor" which look oversized as well, the rest looked a little tighter.

I usually wear something smaller as you can see on the second pic so may be it's just my eyes not used to it. Also there is nomway i can stack up layers under the second jacket without ruining it.
