Thanks! It’s been my favorite jacket lately—I get compliments on it left and right IRL. It's the Our Legacy Mini Jacket - it’s a fashion brand, but they actually take a really solid approach to quality (Italian veg-tanned top-dyed cowhide, heavy-duty Lampo zipper, high-quality lining materials, and corduroy accents).
At the same time, it maintains a really flattering silhouette with a larger collar, broader shoulders, wider sleeves, and just the right crop (though it can be a bit too boxy for some people). The leather is incredibly supple and beautiful in person.

Thanks much. It does looks really nice which reminds me yet again to sometimes look outside my very own bubble.

It’s a very contemporary silhouette in the sense that broad shoulders and cropped cuts seem to be very much the flavour of the day. At the same time it “just works” the way you wear it and how you carry yourself.

A 10/10 in terms of cool factor, and a brand I will need to check out!

Today I tried these 2 that just arrived, oh boy! You guys weren’t kidding about thick goat, I’m impressed, I hadn’t tried it because I’m not really into overly shiny leathers but in this matte dark green color it doesn’t bother me at all.

And honestly I don’t know which one I like best, both fit just as I was expecting, the twin peaks almost feels like nos, and the mulholland has just enough wear to get the grain popping and not be overly stiff, but still not molded to a wearer and doesn’t even have significant sleeve rolls.

You keep slaying it with your jackets. No idea how you track down all those Freewheelers in great condition. Congrats on both!

Simple idea, post pics of the jacket you are wearing today, hence 'What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?'
This thread may have legs, it may fizzle, either way I am sitting here waiting for my wife & loving my Aero Goat modified half belt.
Have fun people!

The name is Winchester, it‘s a reproduction of an East West Musical instruments jacket. My first and only buffalo hide jacket. It reminds me of deerskin. Not quite as soft but still very soft and spongy and stretchy

Sorry For the boring jeans all the time. Jackets costs me to much figuring out sizes and style. I have no money left to venture into denim and boots…

Remind me about the Vanson — did you get the them to add a collar?
That's right @lina the order went something like this.

Swap the standard cafe/stand collar the comet comes with to a shirt collar (and ask for increased shape/volume to the collar which I always do with Vansons), then add a single point yoke and modified kidney panel to give it a little western flare. Stayed within the basic pattern and ordered through Thurston Bros. for the dark hickory Vancouver hide.

Love the grain in that last picture.

That’s one beautiful jacket congratulations.

The hickory hide has a very rich deep look to it. Love it!

Two fantastic jackets! That Comet is amazing!

I appreciate your appreciation for Vanson fellas, their jackets are outstanding!

Different day, different brown jacket but wearing this Cherubim Leather for some local sightseeing was equally enjoyable. So comfortable, I'd chock it up Mark's ( @AerGuitar ) fantastic pattern and also this washed Maryam horsehide. Has so many interesting qualities including really unique grain.

Perhaps a tad big? It looks like the sleeves would be quite lower if you didn't have your thumbs in your pockets.
Yeah it kinda is but it’s also probably because my torso is a bit shorter from degenerative disc disease and my shoulders are also kinda wider for my height of only 5’10 I’m between a 40 and 42 chest so the small was too small in the chest for me so I had to go medium. I’m hoping the slight shrinkage after repeated use in rain and rewaxing will bring it to just the right length

Nice jacket! Your jacket’s sleeves should shorten also after the sleeve creases & tunneling sets — becoming more prominent as you wear it. You most likely bought/wanted the jacket to be versatile wearing it with or t-shirt or a sweater — it looks great with either.
