I'm not actually wearing this out and about because it's too hot, but I want to give a shout-out to this Sears Leather Shop crosszip.

Like so many items in my closet (hats, shoes, jeans) I could have stopped at this one. Instead I went all the way around the world with leather only to rediscover this last week and say, "gee... this really is a great jacket."

Just at 4 pounds without the belt (previous owner cut it off).

I don't love the glossy finish but I love the jacket so I'll keep it just like it is. The fit is amazing, the leather is buttery-soft but substantial, the hardware is meaty and functions great, the interior is inviting and comfortable and I love the arm rolls in this thing.

There's not much appreciation here for these 70s and 80s Sears Jackets but if others are like this one, then I'll vouch for them. Absolutely worth the $100 I paid for it and seriously, I could have stopped here (not that I'm complaining about my collection, just saying that the quality on this Sears is satisfying enough).

Sometimes the simplest is indeed the best! Less is more, etc... :)
