Of the three pullover styles I have, I wear this Schott the most, purely because I don’t have to tell my wife:

To get in and out of it.

It started out like this and I did a little scalp and dye job to get it to the above.

The after image is what this pullover should have looked like in the first place - cracking job on the transition. I guess fringe was a thing back in the 1950's due to Roy Rodgers/Dale Evans, their trusty steed Trigger and Jeep Nellie Bell being on TV at the time. Oh yeah, the Lone Ranger too although I don't think he wore fringe on a regular basis.

Mr Lee leisure suit jacket. I’ve been spending a good deal of time at my sewing machine, trying to tailor my own shit. This turned out pretty good.
Arrived like a Mr Furley leisure suit:
View attachment 689509 I took 2” put of the chest and sleeves and now it’s something I’ll wear!
View attachment 689510 A very long way to go but I really want to make my own jacket. Suede. east west style. Ridiculous collar.
Shirt looks good:) I've been tailoring all my pants and shirts for a bit now as well; my taylor makes it look so easy but it's not. Huge learning curve and mistake pile for sure. At some point I might actually start saving money, maybe:) I'm always amazed at the angles, hems and the multitude of considerations that has to be acknowledged to properly alter something; also the brilliant minds that developed sewing machine technology is mind boggling.
