yes about 10 to 12 I believe they are growing in popularity you will indeed have a beautiful product that will last and there are other companies that I've ordered from that's much longer if you don't mind could you show me what boots you ordered

Yeah I went with a viberg service boot copy:

Service boot
Hornady last
Brogue unstructured captoe
Tan stitching in Black Teacore Shinki
All eyelets, natural edge, cut top, regular heels, veldtschoen construction, and Dr sole supergrip outsole.

I’m just interested in what the leather will look like. Yours look great too btw so I’m not worried it won’t come out well.

All leather hides do differ you might get some with more character or possibly more sheen but all and All I think you will be super happy with the product they offer

Made my first leather jacket this week.. did a couple more tweaks on the canvas version that I made a couple weeks ago, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the way it turned out. Pretty easy to nail the fit when you’re OCD and making it yourself. This turned out to be the easiest wearing jacket I have. Hide is a mid weight chrome tanned cowhide called “Venetian” that I picked up locally, and I really dig it. Aside from just a couple wonky stitches(cuff end topstitching), my machines cooperated very well and it was tons of fun to build. I’ll definitely be doing some more. If anyone knows a good source for repro zippers, hook me up! I used vintage Talons for the sleeves and main zip. Ball chain chest zippers came from Headwinds, but I got the last two and can’t find anymore.

My pair has black “teacore” Shinki, I can take some pics in the next few days.

It’s basically this one sans the cap toe and contrast stitching as I’m not a fan of those.

Yes you will love them and then except that it will become an added addiction lol to complement jackets at the least that’s my case

That is very impressive! Good job! Where did you get the pattern from?

Beautiful jacket and great fit.

If I may ask, what is your background that enables you to decide to make a jacket like that and have it come out so good?

A year or so ago, Tony sent me an old jacket that fit really well. After having some stitching repairs made, I wore it throughout the next year, but eventually the remaining stitching started to pop apart throughout. I took the jacket apart seam by seam, made some fit adjustments by altering the side panels, added an inch for back length, added 2” front drop, then tapered and lengthened the sleeves. After adding sleeve zips and some pockets, it was all good! Here is the original jacket I based the pattern from:
