The fit pic of the back is one of the best fits I have ever seen. These old pattern-makers knew what they were doing. They are putting some modern makers to shame.

Well the (nice) modern makers are all trying to replicate vintage cuts. If they aren’t then they should. When they try and reinvent the wheel that’s when things go horribly wrong. This jacket is a good example of a really nice cut that fits right and flatters you.

The back specifically has a “V” shape that tapers and towards the waist it has a nice )( shape. It fits short in the back and has a pretty big front drop. Kind of long in the front. I like it. Fits identical to my CSC Plissken.

Yes. Really unique cuff design. You can wear them 3 different ways. I’ll take pics when I can. (all the buttons are there too!)

That’s just like the Cali made Hercs. It’s a super cool design. I think this one demands a thread or at least a very long review in Terry’s old clothes thread. I have to admit these pics paint a totally different view of the jacket. Your gamble paid in spades.

Seller's pics had me thinking maybe it was deadstock. It's not (nor was it advertised as such) but it was extremely well maintained.

That is a beauty. Love to see that Flathead denim as well! Their 3004 cut is pretty much the only denim I wear.

Amen on your sentiment regarding vintage cuts - they will be the Gospel for time eternal as far as I'm concerned, they just cut with golden proportions back then.
