Schott 519 yester-evening

Included a pic with just the vest, I sized down to 38 from my normal 40 if you’re looking for similar fit

It must be fun to be able to compare these directly. FCL hide looks thicker than FW, is that so? Both great jackets that fit you well.
FCL is thicker (2mm) for sure and needs a lot more break in period than FW rebels (1.3mm). But surprisingly, FW rebels is stiffer leather yet very comfortable out of the box. Rolls coming in very fast.

While both fit great on me, FW rebels is just a better pattern overall.

The Aero Thunderbay again. I only have three jackets worthy of this forum. I might get a fourth in the next few months. So here I am sitting on this lonesome wooden bridge off of Galveston beach.. it’s not icy cold it’s only 54° however it’s drizzling and there’s howling wind. For most people it’s definitely not pleasant conditions but I love it. I don’t feel like lingering around the city where everybody’s getting drunk. This is very nice over here. Nobody’s out here. I don’t need a fire, Im as cozy as can be.

I didn’t blink. I literally just closed my eyes, because the flash was so intensely bright. Just taking some shelter until the water stops falling.

my unsolicited advice would be to tell you not to get too caught up in the number of jackets you have, and to be careful in the pursuit of leather jacket perfection.. I’m not sure it exists for most of us.
the Aero looks great, you seem to have plenty of opportunity to wear it. wear this one to rags and then start over.

Thanks, and I like your advice! I will definitely keep wearing this jacket hard, it is made for it.

When you get sent to the Russian front!

Might still happen the way things are going with the madman in Kreml. At least the jacket are prepared for it

That´s a great jacket. I absolutely love the pockets! A bit like Barbour´s inside "rabbit-pockets", only in Elk-size...

Yeah, the pockets are amazing! Can fit just about anything in them.

@Rudie has one of these, and we discussed it at length back in the SJC Forum days...Best Parka ever made was the consensus. Yours looks great!

Thanks man! I’m really happy to have one.

Today is a cheapo High Street version of the classic Detroit jacket. I've always wanted the Carhartt original, but the fit doesn't work for me. This one does, although I've sized down to get it. And a literal fraction of the price.

Decent weight of canvas and seems robust enough for bashing about, although it forgoes the full-fat blanket lining for quilted poly instead.
