Wow, any weight loss tip?
Eating less and especially cutting back on carbs did it for me. Like casechopper I follow a 16/8 eating schedule where I have my first meal no earlier than 11am and finish my last at 7pm. I try to avoid all refined carbs, or as many as possible, especially sugar, which seems to have a particularly bad effect on the body, being metabolised solely by the liver, and thus in excess turns to visceral fat much the same way alcohol does. I lost 40 pounds in a year doing all this.

I used to weigh a lot. I was heavy because I ate a lot. I lost a lot of weight. Since then I guided two of my friends through a significant weight loss. Worked both times.

1. Most important and actually the only crucial part is to eat less.
Best part?
It'll be enough. Eat half a plate of whatever you like eating. It may not seem enough but give it ten minutes and you'll feel full. If you get really hungry and it's not lunch or dinner time (though I recommend skipping dinner altogether), eat an apple or two. Snacks are okay. DO NOT be hungry. Just don't stuff yourself.

2. Don't eat candy and other sweet stuff. It's all useless junk anyway. Not saying to kick out all the sugar out of your life, drink your coffee sweet, just don't eat things that aren't actual food. Cake and deserts and crap. That stuff has no use and it costs a lot of money.

3. Simply walking speeds up the process but the moment you do decide to do something about your eating habits and give up on sugar, you'll start losing weight.
I was physically active even before losing weight but once I stopped eating and the pounds started melting, I felt this needed to move even more. You'll want to walk. Run. Whatever.

I lost 10kg/rougly 22 pounds over the past 6 months following the described above routine of eating/consuming calories for 8 hours and then consuming no calories for 16 hours. And I say consume calories and not just "eat" because this diet includes no sugar drinks no juice no alcohol during the 16 hour window. Water only. Your body adjusts to this very quickly and after a week or two you won't even feel hungry during these 16 hours. During the 8 hours I eat whatever I want though. This will work just fine. If you want to speed up the weight loss, you can do low carbs and all that but I'm no fan. Eating only meat and vegetables is no fun. I like a good breakfast with cereal, bread or pancakes.

Additional advice: drink more water instead of other stuff and eat eggs. They make you full for fairly long.

Lots of great weight loss tips in this thread! I’ve used several methods to lose weight when I’ve felt the need. Low carb, only allowing certain type of foods (boiled potatoes, cod and broccoli + fruits) etc. At the end of the day, these methods are there only to make it easier to cut calorie intake to a level where you lose weight.
Low carb was for me the nicest diet, I was never hungry and I could eat all the cheese I wanted. A big downside is that it’s fairly expensive compared to eating pasta, rice and potatoes.

European elk skin (?) short jacket, in excellent condition, the elephant ear pocket flaps are still stitched down strong, size 44 regular fit. I’m actually selling this, just got it today.

I'm down 35 pounds since October while also gaining muscle, so that fat loss is probably even higher.

There is no trick to it- it's all about calories in vs. calories out. Eating less and healthier makes the biggest difference.

I cut out all soda and desserts, all fast food, etc. I am much more considerate about everything that I eat, having more fish, shrimp, chicken, salads, etc than I ever used to. Working out does also help a lot. I work out and run consistently and doing both together makes a big difference, especially if you really want to get into good shape.

The food and soda issue was most difficult for me. However, once you make it past a month or so of eating healthy, it gets infinitely easier. It did for me, at least. I do still crave unhealthy stuff sometimes, but far less often and I am able to curb those cravings with healthier food usually. I am also now able to have a cheat meal now and then without "falling off the wagon" so to speak.

The reason it worked though was because I wasn't on a "diet". I have changed my entire lifestyle and eating habits. I now am used to healthier food and even crave a lot of it and I NEED to go to the gym. I love working out now. The mindset change was the biggest thing. I wasn't temporarily fixing things, I was permanently changing myself. I am not quite where I want to be yet, but I have no doubt that I will be there soon enough.

Lost Worlds Ryder. 3,5oz Black Horsehide. Stock size 42 with no mods. Took inspiration from @John D McCarters Ryder. Until seeing that I thought that all LW were designed to be bulky and oversized.

Sizing and Fit: Looking at the measurements, I knew that arms and body would be shortish, and they are. Don’t mind, though, as I like my jackets fairly short. Shoulders and Chest and just perfect.

Leather: I’ve heard so much about LW heavy hides that I am surprised how lightweight the jacket feels. It is by no means unsubstantial, but the heavier Horween CXL horse or steer are certainly different animals altogether.
Leather feels, looks and smells sublime and already develops very lively grain across the arms and shoulders. Will be a treat to break it in.

All in all, I am very pleased. The jacket just feels absolutely right, putting it on. Thanks to all the beautiful LW in the lounge lately that made me pull the trigger, and a warm thanks to you, John, for your advice.

Dealing with Stuart was an absolute pleasure, BTW. Very professional, on the spot and immensely fast in answering. Would and will order with him again at all times.

By the way, don’t let clothing that fit you now be an obstacle to losing weight. Yes, it’s a pain in the ass specially for those of us lazy to sell things but in the end is for the better.

Don’t do crazy stuff though. It’s just a matter of eating healthy and not doing weird stuff like removing all carbs or starving. As long as you eat healthy and less calories than you burn it will be fine.

Don’t try to follow instructions that work for others, every body is unique.

Walk a lot! My work is sedentary and I didn’t walk, I used my motorcycle, public transport,etc. I haven’t used my Vespa in over a year and a half now and I use the bus only on a few occasions.
