I was lucky enough to find a handful at my local tobacconists for 30% off. It does make the smoke even more enjoyable.

Yeah, I was introduced to them during a special almost 4 years ago. However, I didn't know they were on sale until I went to buy more (after the special was over).

Yes sir. One of those I have found to be quite heavy is the Joya de Nicaragua Antano. A great heavy tobacco flavor with a strong leather accent. I have to have eaten before enjoying one of those.

The best ISOM cigar and one of the heaviest is the Bolivar. It is my very favorite cigar and I enjoy them frequently when we travel near a Casa del Habanos.

rkwilker, I will try one of those. I don't care for the Edge much either and have not tried the lower end RPs.

Oh there are stronger cigars than those. The Partagas Culebra I usually mention is one of those. Bolivar has some good strength but not quite so much. Many brands fromt hat exotic little island are far stronger than the same brand you get here from Altadis or General. ;)

J

Cold last night. Found a nice, warm service corridor and enjoyed a new cigar given to me by a friend, who got it at a smoker in the area. It is an Avalon and I have not heard of or seen it since the three samples he gave me. This one had a Sumatra wrapper, a mild-medium blend, and was a Churchill size. Pleasant and flavorful but no kick. I relish a quiet night occasionally!

Last night...Gurka double maduro toro w/ a little crown royal/rocks. Nice smoke. Lots of flavor and well constructed. Cold here in North Carolina but a good smoke in the hot tub with a favorite beverage took off the chill. :D

Had the new CAO LX2 tonight.:)
Good even burn, easy light. It held a decent ash and had a good draw, not too hard not too easy. I could taste some earthiness, maybe a little spice at the beginning and toward the end. There was a slight sweetness to it also with the spice. I will try some more...;)

First for an appetizer, 5 Vegas Shorty. Later on, an Olivros Habana Cuba...too mild. Wish the Shortys came in a full size belicoso; THAT would be tasty!

Those Shortys are really good. The Classic is good too. Haven't tried the other series. Think you've mentioned the Series A before, I'll try to bid on five from CB and try them.

jamespowers, I was gifted several of those when the in-laws came over from England. They were incredibly well made and reall good. I acquired a box of #4 Series D several years ago and loved them as well.

A very rare night tonight; too blasted busy for a cigar! I am officially grumpy. I am having an extra scotch before bed to make up for it. Opened a new bottle of Lismore Single Malt (Speyside...I don't always drink/smoke heavy flavors). Never had that before; not bad but not Islay.
