I think @Mrfrown is correct as to the date of mfg impacting the cut. I am 5.9" and 146 lbs atm. The jacket I am wearing with only a thin t-shirt is a 1997 size 38 C2. The cut is unquestionably looser on on the current 38 (and sleeves are wider); as mrfrown has 30 lbs on me and the current stock 38 still looks big on him (not so his custom one, which looks great).
