Hi guys,
I’ve had this Eastman A-2, size 48 for several years, but unfortunately it has spent almost all that time in my wardrobe.
I’m 190 cm / 6’3” and around 104 kg / 229 lbs. I love A-2 jackets, but this one simply doesn’t work perfectly for my proportions – the body is a little roomy while the sleeves and body length are too short.
It has therefore been worn only a handful of times and is still in excellent, virtually flawless condition, including the leather, lining and knits.
The label reads W535 AC23373.
Measurements:
P2P 67 cm / 26.4”
Shoulders 53 cm / 20.9”
Sleeves 65 cm / 25.6”
Back 68 cm / 26.8”
I’m now considering selling it, but before I do, I’d really like to know exactly what I have.
Does anyone know when Eastman produced this AC23373 version and whether it is horsehide or steerhide? The leather is surprisingly soft and supple and doesn’t really feel like the horsehide jackets I know.
Any information about the model, approximate age and leather would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Stephan
