Here is the only Resistol hat I've got.

It's a gray, "kitten finish" fedora. 2-1/2 inch brim. size 7, extra long oval.

I would guess 1950s, I suppose. But I am not sure.

Are there any ORIGINAL LBJ style owners out there. I'm talking about the Resistol San Antonio model which was the hat he wore. Can we see any pics you might have?

I picked this one up a few months ago:
Picked up another Resistol from eBay.

Unknown western style, maybe a San Antonio? No tags on the sweat or anything, no mention of beaver. The sweatband does say "melorol" though. The crest on the liner does say Byer-Rolnick, so it predates Hatco.

Any ideas as to what this one is? Brim is 2.5", the center dent comes to about 4.5" and looks to be just about 5" open crown height.

I'm not sure if it's a real San Antonio or not. The brim is 2.5 and the crown height looks like it would be about 5.25-5.5 open crown, which I think is shorter than the San Antonio?

Whatever it is, it's a great hat and quickly became one of my favorites. I reworked it to have a Hollywood brim and diamond crease:

That is SO FINE :) Do you wear it ever ? I found a well worn one in a 7 1/2 down at my SalvationArmy store last week but it was to big and the sweat was all dried and cracked. But I keep looking :) That is one FINE hat :)

I had to have the sweatband replaced. It is in the shop for that right now. I did change the crease as I only wear cattleman creases for my wider brimmed westerns.

I posted this one for trade a while back... I expect to post it on ebay later this weekend.
