Wow thanks for sending the photos as reference!!! I can see you have plenty of space over a tee, it’s already a bit snug for me with a tee. How does it look when you zip up with a pullover underneath?

Thanks! That pair of jeans is the Derrickman by Freewheelers. My most favorite so far despite I own jeans from all (or at least most) of the popular Japanese brands Samurai, Iron heart, momotaro, studio, pure blue,… Freewheelers’ design is really something else. I feel the same for the Mulholland, just that the fit is a bit too tight.

Not the best quality, but you get the idea.

Keep it for when you are not going to zip it up. It looks comfortable and stylish unzipped in that size.
Keep looking and get another jacket one size larger for when you need to zip up.
You look good in this style and 2 jackets should cover all your needs.

Thank you! I don’t think I have the luxury to own two Mulholland of size 42 and 44 though it is really hard to find a 44 that does not have an exorbitant price tag atm. But I guess I will keep this jacket for unzipped and layering over a tee!

I personally think it's nice, but may be a little tight, if you will not wear it...best to sell since they are very sought after.
Question is - do Freewheelers still even make this model? Can you even find a "44" instead?

Thanks! I actually love it with tee, but it’s a shame if I can only wear this nice jacket for one month of Fall. Afaik, Freewheelers has no intention of making this model again in the near future and finding a decently priced 44 (less than 3k) is impossible, last time I saw a 44, it was 8k, people are just insane. However as I mentioned, Freewheelers might have messed up some measurements, this one I have is like between a 40 and 42, that’s probably why it was a steal. Maybe I can exchange with someone who has a properly sized 42 but wants a little more fitted one. This one would be perfect for that person

You could try the elmc highway star for the layered fit.

I really like the mulholland, but I prefer my black jackets to be dyed through or white/grey core, and I was looking for a worthy substitute for a while without any luck.

I did find a brown mulholland in sz 34 and jumped on it since I don’t mind the teacore that much on brown, but I was still craving a black one and eventually found a highway star in sz 36, which fits very similar to my sz 34 mulholland albeit with a bit more room to layer.
