Thank you Captain, The felt that I used for this hat is a 100% rabbit 120G FEPSA, it turned out pretty good, I just wish that I had more than one FEPSA in this color, some brown and sable colors would be great too.

Thank you Sir. Yes Sir that is always a good feeling and sometimes it just unexpected. I thought that one of my other Indiana Jones hats in gray would sell before the 7 1/8", maybe I should make another 7 1/8" and put on Ebay, I just wish that I had another Dark Gray in 120G FEPSA Beaver to use.

I have 5 hats listed on Ebay for sale now, one is FEPSA 100% Beaver, I just posted another Steel Gray fedora with a red wine color hat band, dark blue satin hat liner with gold piping, specs for this hat:
· Single Crease Crown shape

· Front crown height is 4 5/8" at the wide pinch

· Back of the crown is 4 1/2" high

· Crown sides are 5-1/8" high at front dints

· Brim width is 2-3/4" wide

· Hat band is 1 1/2" wide vintage grosgrain ribbon Red Wine color

· Hat Bow is 6” long with 3/8” frayed ends

· Leather sweatband is 2" wide Chestnut color complete with a small white bow

· Hat liner is dark blue satin with gold piping.

· Hat felt color is Steel Gray 100% Rabbit Fur Felt

Hello Fedora Fans,
I have been working on a fedora for a little while and I finished it today, the felt is a Dark Blue FEPSA 100% Pure Beaver the open crown was 5.5" , the brim was cut down to 2 3/4" wide, the hat height at the front and back crease is 4 1/8", the hat size is 7 1/8", I put a 5/8" pencil curl in the brim with a brim binding using 5/8" wide vintage grosgrain ribbon, the brim binding is handsewn onto the brim, the hat has a 2" wide dark brown or chocolate color leather sweatband with a little black bow, the hat band is the same color as the brim binding, Blue Navy Wool 1 1/2" wide, the hat bow is 5 1/2" long, I tried something a little new with the hat band and bow this time. Handsewing the brim binding into place took most of the time, I tried to put a stich about every 1/4", I had to sew around the brim twice to make everything look right. Here is a few photos for your review, let me know what you think, this hat style is different from any hat that I have made previously. Let me know what you think, Please.

I like the way that you shaped the front of the crown and the brim. Have you considered another Western style, maybe with the cattleman crease?

Well I changed the shape of the hat that I posted, here is the new description of the hat.

• Hat size is 7-1/8"
• Diamond Crown shape
• Front crown height is 4 1/4”
• Back of the crown is 4 1/8" high
• Crown Height sides are 4 7/8”
• Brim width is 2-3/4" wide
• Hat band is 1-1/2" wide vintage grosgrain ribbon Navy Wool Blue
• Brim Binding is 5/8” wide Vintage Grosgrain Ribbon Navy Wool Blue
• Hat Bow is 5-1/2” long
• Leather sweatband is 2" wide Chocolate color complete with a small black bow
• Hat liner is Satin with purple center, gold piping and black sides
• Hat felt color is Dark Blue 100% FEPSA Beaver 120G Fur Felt
• Everything is handsewn, including the brim binding

Looks like I will be putting this hat on Ebay for sale, that will make 6 hats posted for sale. Ebay has made the offers good for 4 days and on top of that Ebay has issued discounts on items that are posted for sale on Ebay.

The good news right now is the USPS located my lost package and now the package is on the way to my customer, I hope that the shipping box is not damaged in any way. I mailed 3 letters to the Postmaster General in DC and two to my congressman, so things are looking a little better right now.

Hello All! I'm new to the stomping grounds, long time Indiana Jones fan and wanted something more than the second hand Herb Johnson poet which has been a fantastic hat even as hard outdoor work wear. It has the narrow crown and so it looks more like a Temple of Doom hat I suppose. The burning desire for a good Raiders hat has never left me, and then recently..m

I saw Darrell's great thread here and his offerings on ebay, and was impressed with his work. He was absolutely stellar, very helpful in conversations and careful with measurements and understanding margin of error working together from out of state.

I asked for a twist here. Not only does it have the Raiders 'turn' built in with the off center to the oval shape. Here we went with a Gray Clipper type color, even though the design of the hat and then turn is only on the brown hat in the movie.

Darrell's work was quick too, only a couple weeks later I have a custom hat in my hands which fits dead on perfect like a glove. Slightly tight for the first couple try ons and then quickly breaking in, it feels great.

Below I'll attach some pictures, several that Darrell sent before shipping - which was incredibly well packaged by the way, and I've been in logistics for twenty years. Then there are some pictures of it's fit on arrival, and finally the most recent pictures where I've used some steam from an electric kettle to turn the front of the brim down in front of the eyes.

This is a hat I plan to cherish for a lifetime and it's already seeing daily wear on dog walks and family park visits. Thank you Darrell, you do amazing work. Busted Hats is a fantastic company and I'll be excited that when the time comes I can reason an extra hat into the budget and house space, I'd love to work with Darrell again.
