I could be mistaken, but I have read somewhere that they play fast loud music in cheap restaurants, because they make money from mass amounts of customers. The fast loud music gets annoying, so it makes people want to leave.
Actually, I think Christmas time is the only time real music is played in the supermarket. Since when do you hear Frank Sinatra in the supermarket unless it is around Christmas? All the rest of the year they play nasty modern pop music with annoying synthesizers and horrible singing.
I don't know about you, but I seem to have noticed that the day after the 4th of July, they take out most of the summer stuff, and put in the Christmas stuff. Not all summer stuff, but most of the 4th of July related stuff.
I just noticed, that guy on that package is the same as the guy in my avatar! Probably because I took him from a 1930's clip art book.
These bottles look pretty vintage styled to me.
You know, I wonder if I could find a thrift store around me, they might have a higher change to have 40's and 50's stuff. Why? Theoretically because where I live is the countryside, and less people would go to shop there. I could be wrong though.
I think I made a mistake, my first fedora was a tan crushable Minnetonka. I was either 9 or 10 (like I said in my first post) when I got it. Personally, I hate crushable hats. They always feel too loose, and get mashed up all the time. You don't need a hat to be crushable to be fixed. My brown...
It's not midwest style rural, and it's not hillbilly style rural either, more like suburban/slight hillbilly rural. There is a downtown, and a few small malls. I am near a small city, but the small city is kind of a slum. An estate sale would be a possibility. There are churches in my town, and...
I started looking at Royal Crown again. Which holds better for wavy hair, Royal Crown Pomade, or Royal Crown Hair Dressing? Do any major stores sell RC? CVS doesn't seem to have it, nor does Stop and Shop.
I don't really think cargo pants would work, because I always dress vintage style. That is vintage civilian style. I suppose storing it in my sport coat would work find, because I don't see how it would slip out. But like I said earlier, my new pants seem fine because they have deep pockets.
I...
I actually haven't tried putting it in my pants lately. Last time I tried was a few years ago. My new pants all have deeper pockets than my old pants. I just tried sitting down with it in both my front and back my pocket in my new pants, and it did not slide out. I figure that this means I can...
I have this reproduction pocket knife. However, when I put it in my pocket, it always slides out. Pretty useless, except for looking at. Are you supposed to put them in your jacket's pocket? I also have a modern pocket knife, but it is pretty ugly, thus, no pictures of it.
The last movie I watched was Jaws. But it wasn't on TV. I saw it in the theater. This theater is called the Orpheum, and it is in Chatham Massachusetts. It was previously a CVS, and before that it was a theater also called the Orpheum.
I rarely get comments, but when I do, they always tend to be positive. I dress vintage styled/retro daily, and I usually just get stared at. The most common comment I get is the nonsensical "Nice suit" when I am wearing one of my sport coats. When I am not wearing a sport coat, which is only on...
A show on PBS about the Glenn Miller disappearance. It was interesting, it talked about the theories, which the show proved to be false. It said that the plane crashed due to a faulty carburetor (I knew this already from reading his Wikipedia page). Watching it inspired me to get a Glenn Miller...
Stetson Stetsonian
Are Stetson Stetsonians any good? I was thinking of getting a nicer fedora sooner or later, and I figured I might as well get an open crowned one. The Stetson Stetsonian caught my eye, and I got wondering, is it any good? I was looking at it at the Del Monico Hatter website...
