Good idea.
My name is also Ben. I turn 29 this Friday, the 17th. But I look about 22. I have always worked in restaurants and pubs since I was 14, cleaning cooking, serving, but being a waiter pushing late 20's in a burger place in the UK called Byron, it becomes hard to bend over backwards...
I think it's pointless saying that BK stole the pattern from another maker. Who 'borrowed' (?) the payer from an original jacket... Name wise yeah Cadet. Campus, either way there was no need for BK to mention it.
But never saw the problem with the Aeronaut thing. I can see how it could...
Shame the labels have fallen out of these. Sure the one below is a well worn Himel...
Maybe te claims of originating any vintage style of jacket is a bit outlandish. Appropriated maybe.
Only the Hercules was £1125 . The others were around the same price as BK. And that was the correct price for the Hercules. We had exclusivity for the Hercules for a short amount of time. And people in the UK were advised to order through us for that jacket only.
The Cape Aeronaut and Westfall...
But they are not charging that Sloan... The Hercules is that much. That's the only one. I paid £600 for my Aeronaut I think.
And i've worn that jacket the hardest for the past two years I've had it. I might just be wear.
Don't really think the cuff configuration has anything to do with it. As I measured the jacket at the same look on the sleeve above where the cuff starts.
Please ignore the look on my face and the strategically placed weights in the back ground I obviously never use and saggy arse tracksuit bottoms.
Remeber Bretron is a larger size thanks yours zhz. Brett remind me if y are a 42 or 44?
And all together 40’s Hercules top, BK Aeronaut middle, BK Hercules bottom
For the record I am 5ft 7 have a 35.6” chest and the circumference of my wrist at the joint is 6.3”
As you can see, the 40’s Hercules is definitely the widest, all the way down the arm. With a 12” circumference...
I have no reason to answer any questions, especially after having so many accusations about my profit led agenda leveled at me. The thread is way beyond where is started. And very boring.
Why are you putting yourself in our shoes and tryig force a stance. It's really non of your business...
You'd have to ask BK about that, I know the Victory come in more expensive I dont knownby how much. The Badalassi isn't really stocked anymore. But I'm sure he'd brink it back if there were a demand. It's a really good leather. Nice weight and character.
So here is a barely worn Hercules jacket dating back to the late 40's
The leather is light and supple, with not much noticeable grain
It shows edge wear, and has an even colour all over apart from where worn. Very close to the Liberty samples.
