We've got some of these coming I for the shop with buttons cuffs and leather front and back with elasticated sides. Same hide.
Your jacket was the inspiration it is aging beautifully. Very nice.
Very nice, one of my favorite makers Block, lovely fit and picket shape. Have two of these, on I need to restore as well. If only someone copied this jacket so I could get the labels. Infamously delicate the Black labels.
Here's one I picked up recently in very good original condition but a...
£1500 for a A-2 is too expensive, and quality is good, but only on par with Eastmans original maker offerings.
Goodwear uses the same shinki horse hide on a bad to measure jacket (that is of the highest quality singular bespoke pieces) and still cheaper. Though you so have to wait.

I have searched quite extensively, but they are hard to find. The 40's and early 60's aren't too different with the arched zipper pull. Those are easy enough to find on destroyed old duffle bags, but really want the marked zipper stop too.
I am trying to restore a 60's Sammy Miller Belstaff and want to crown it off with the proper Lighting Zip. These are proving very hard to find, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Great jackets, the Waldo is a nice jacket that's doesn't get the attention, I thought about getting one with button cuffs and waist band.
The BK cape skin is also unbeatable.
I can only imagine that when you are dealing with contacts on such a large scale that achieving a uniform colour across a contact of 20,000 jackets would be difficult, coming from different suppliers/ tanneries using different process', not always being the same leather must have been near...
The Goat skin Eastman uses is always good, it has got softer straight out then box over recently, but still a lovely grain with a depth of colour to it.
Their 55j14 is based on a L.W Foster jacket, and I think the reason they changed the pocket shape is to replicate that contract closer, as...
This may be of some interest. Have a look at the measurements not the size tag.

It's not mine, selling for a friend who is very very particular, and just doesn't fit him like he wished. F he jacket fit me I would not sell, though this style not to my taste
It is, but if you look at the measurements go by them. Vintage 44, 40-42.
I can't emphasise enough what an amazing jacket this is. Trumps Mccoys my a country mile.
Hopefully soon, a guy tried it on the other day. Fit him perfectly he loved it and said, he like really likes the Mccoys offering, but this was out of reach, when I said £800 his mouth dropped. Thought he was going to jump at it there an then.
