I wouldn't hang a jacket, especially a jacket as heavy as an Aero on hangar in the closet. The weight would gradually pull it down, and could cause surface cracks to appear. Though, this isn't really an issue, only the top coat cracking a little.
I'm sure you know, but a little bit of pecards...
I pick these beautiful shoes up for a great price the other day, they are in fantastic condition and fit extremely well.
The seller sold them as 50's and they don't have the unappealing outer Longwing wrap seam the later ones have.
They also sold them as cordovan, which would have been...
Goatskin was chosen for the Navy jackets because of it waterproof nature. The top coat is much more water and salt resistant than horse or steer hide. If it's a new jacket then leave it, it'll be fine and with modern dyes be prettier water proof anyway.
If it's a old one, give it a coating of...
The M-422a you have there I think is an H.L Block. Best way to check is have a look at the air holes perforated on the underarm guessed. If they're stitched not metal riveted, it's a Block.
Very nice. Like the fold down wool collar liner on these jackets. Nice design as well.
A civilian Rough-In labelled A-2 sold recently. Looked like a 1401-p and wondered about the label. Now I know.
For sale is a very nice 1960's Sammy Miller Trialmaster suit in used condition.
This is the compleat suit size 40 jacket and 30-34 trousers.
The jacket is in superb condition with not rips tears or repairs. The original 60's Lightning zipper is in perfect working order and all poppers...
Great looking jacket Bret, you've got to be very happy. That's going to age amazingly. Now that's a jacket that could do with some spillage of burger juices!
FOR SALE. Barely worn Real/Joe McCoys 906s 28x32. 14oz raw denim with one soak. Still deep blue all over. £225 brand new at the store.
£150 or send me an offer. Happy to negotiate
Anyone who knows the Real Mccoy's knows the quality of their products and these jeans are no exception. The...
I own ones of these too, though think it dates to the late 40's.
Again in almost perfect condition. If odd seeing the same jacket more than once in the same condition. And there was a size 40 for sale recently again in very good condition.
Very nice indeed. The drape looks superb, and that really makes the fit in my opinion.
Colour looks superb as well, and Eastmans new horsehide is great. Hope they return to doing some goatskin in the original makers as well. I've always been after one of their short lived Cable goatskins.
Nice choice. Lovely pattern the Bronco. I was original down for a Bronco, then changed my mind to a Dubow, then to a Doniger, Monarch, then Star, then settled on a Monarch. Dull russet Shinki, gold brown knits, brass triple marked Talon.
I haven't had a chance to really wear it after receiving...
I do hope it comes back, it's just a good place for true interest about jackets and the history of them rather than if it fits right.
And apart from that people are very happy to help each other which I think lacks in age other places, had the feeling of community instead of common room...
