    I just bought a brimless cap. It's pink wool with a small amount of beading on top and at the edge. The beading is gray and forms two stylized leaves. What would be a good occasion to wear this? When would it have been worn when it was new? Evening only, or nice daytime occasion?

    If it's the flu, you can get a shot within a short time of contracting it to help shorten the duration. Otherwise, you just feel like you're dying, then wish you'd hurry up and die, then (let us hope) get better. Getting a flu shot is a good idea--and not too late if you're not sick.

    Women's Hats

    Many new ladies hats for sale are overtrimmed and oversized or just cheaply made. I don't want to wear a bouquet of flowers on my head. Big bows look better on little girls than 40-year-old women. And a packable, crushable synthetic hat doesn't work with dress clothes. OK. Rant over.

    Last night I had to take a bath instead of a shower to keep the dressing on my foot dry. Pros: It kept the dressing dry. It used less water than a shower. I didn't have to squeegee and dry the tile and shower door. It was fast. Cons: Brrrr! I didn't get very clean. :o

    Amazon.com. It was about $16 for some 80 songs, the vast majority of which I think sound really good. Then, as today, there were bands that did a past genre really well, and others that, well, had their own take on it.
