Currently both colors are shown as 24 oz., that said, my guess is the older charcoal item I have is 28-30oz. It's a very substantial piece of clothing. Put this over a HD cotton T and canvas shirt and you're good to go in pretty cool weather.
I carry a (2) bladed folding Kabar in a custom leather belt case. I like the steel on the older Kabars and
don't care to expose what I'm carrying. Knife is 99% covered.
I have a couple of the Filson wool vests, one in charcoal and one in green. I absolutely love the charcoal item, looks and fits good, plus heavy enough to provide real warmth. That said, the green one was received a few years afterwards as a present. The material is much thinner, certainly not...
While my father was in two branches of the armed forces during and just after WWII, I would never wear a piece of clothing with insignia, rank, or any other indications I was in the service, I feel it's wrong to do so. I recently walked away from a deal on a Navy N1 Deck jacket due to it having...
I've wore (3) different Carhartt Detroit jackets and like them all. I currently wear a 2014 Commemorative that's made in USA, solid jacket that fits right, is durable and after (4) years is just getting broke in. That said, I feel non-USA made items don't have the same feel or fit.
If I was...
I purchased this jacket a couple years ago as I owned one before and liked it very much. It is made by "Lee Valley Ireland" and is a "Denim Gardening Jacket". It is labeled as a men's XL although I believe it's actually either a XXL Tall or possibly a XL Tall. For reference, I'm 185 lbs and...
I didn't spot the rear cargo/game pocket at first, that is a bit of a oddity, Double CPO with game pocket?, new trend maybe? Perhaps some one had it made by small supplier like Johnson or Bemidji or Mil spec'd with mods for specific purpose. Fabric sounds like a bonded or boiled Melton wool...
Hmmm, Almost looks like a HD Double layered CPO rather than a Mackinaw, I've never seen a Mackinaw w/o slash hand warmer pockets although seems typical of a CPO. Does it feel/look like a blend or all wool?
Nice site and frames, that said, I don't understand why some frames are only made in one size, seems unproductive. I've run across several expensive frames I like only to find out it's a one size fit's all equation. I wear progressive lens and their limitations are magnified by limited frame...
Beautiful jacket, is this a roomy size 40 or snug? I've shifted 20lbs although not sure if
I could pull this off.....Was it made for you or OTR? Your dimensions might help here.
