Style-wise, I can't stand the vents. They ruin the look and style of the jacket, to me. A lot of FC customers don't seem to mind, and they are built well from what I have heard.
Of course not, but it probably means that the company was founded that year. Which means therefore that they made no jackets prior to that year. But, for all I know, the year could be "aspirational" (eg, a retro brand that wants to be associated strongly with a particular year, even though it...
Maybe, but @Monitor seems to know that they're European, and given that he's in Europe and pretty knowledgeable I'm inclined to believe him a good bit. As well, the jacket was found in Eurpoe (Northern Grip is in Latvia) and it has a Euro-style pull on the left size main zip. The language on...
It could be, I can't prove anything at this point.
That jacket on Vinted looks rather different from the one I have. I note:
- the leather appears to be of an inferior grade. Look at this crack. Note the corrected grain look and lack of patina.
- the lining is a 80s-style print
- the brand...

Jacket is in nice shape overall. The lining has some issues -- the material in the sleeves has deteriorated near the cuffs, and should probably be re-lined in the near future at some point, but as-is it's wearable. The only other thing with it is the right handwarmer...
I don't have a Vanson A, but I do have a couple of Aero Cafe Racers and a couple of Vanson Model B's, and a Vanson x Union Garage V7, which bears some resemblance to the Model A.
Looks: Aero
Leather: Aero, but pre-2016 Vanson comp weight is at least a tie, or at least a matter of preference...
It's so subtle that you'd need to draw a circle around it for me to see where it is.
Try taking a toothbrush and some mild detergent. Wet the brush bristles and gently scrub it out. Take care not to scrub too hard.
Good to hear. You can just tell by the grain in the pictures when zoomed in all the way that this was not a low-quality affair. I'm planning on doing a photo shoot and put up a thread for it when it gets here. Hopefully sometime next week, I imagine, depending on customs. FedEx shipments...
Not a steal, but maybe a find. No size info, no maker details -- I wonder if this is vintage or a modern retro style repro. It's definitely a cool looking jacket that has been worn a lot.

Update: I found my missing HH sullivan gloves today, thankfully. As they haven't really been worn a whole lot, there's nothing much to report as far as break-in. I just tried them on again and they fit better than I remember. My original impression was that one of the ring finger on my right...
If you can afford to have the money tied up in the jacket, you can try it out and flip it if it doesn't work out, with minimal risk. If you are sure it will be too long, then I would pass on it.
Thanks for the info. I had a feeling you might have some knowledge about it.
Northern Grip's website has really high resolution images, and I took advantage to zoom way, way in. The grain on the leather looks phenomenal up close, as good as what I have seen on Aero, Langlitz, and Vanson, but I...
Sorry, I just noticed this. I don't think the forum software notifies me about profile posts.
It's probably too late to help you with your question, but I don't have enough experience with their leathers to recommend one over another. Best to just ask the maker what they have and if they can...
That's not me wearing it, but I'll be happy if it fits me as well as it fits the website's model. I'm worried it'll be too big, but if it is I should be able to get my money back flipping it.
