I don't want to be misconstrued on vanson's leather. I never said that the new comp weight is worthless. I said I prefer the old comp weight. The new stuff isn't bad, but it's thinner. Vanson did horsehide at one time, and might again, but I don't think they offer it now, other than perhaps for special collaborations. But I honestly think that I like their comp weight cowhide best, even though the horse jackets I own from them are very, very good . Of course, their original...- Guppy

New Aero Website looks Great!!!
Overall the new website looks nicer and loads faster. I think their filtering options could stand some refinement. For example, you can only filter on one size only, rather than multiple sizes. It looks like they improved the custom order workflow, as well, which I bet will reduce the amount...- Guppy

I can't give an opinion on the arm hole question. The colors are great. Beautiful, and will get compliments. I guess the same rules for color coordination of a jacket with shoes apply as always, and it might not be easy to match Thedi's leather colors in your footwear, but as long as you're...- Guppy

That would depend on how it's tsnned and I haven't handled Aero's goat in person to tell. The goat leather I have familiarity with is very flexible, but the surface doesn't feel soft to the touch.- Guppy

Goat is generally quite flexible, no break in needed. It's a thinner and lighter leather than steer, but still very strong. From what I've seen, goat doesn't patina or show wear much. Horween CXL Steer is one of my favorite leathers. It's not soft at first but breaks in very quickly, and looks...- Guppy

The model name is Crescent, for anyone interested. They don't seem to be as common as the Columbia or Cascade. The Crescent reminds me of the Vanson Model A. Aero King of the Road compared to Sears D-pocket
It's 22.5" from the base of the collar to the back hem. Very short. I think the original owner was probably shorter than I am, it was a Japanese seller who I bought it from. You should ask Aero what their back measurements are rather than go by this example.- Guppy
