    Vanson Gambler, exclusive through Thurston Bros. It's the same shell as the Raid, but with some nicer leather options and lining options that would let you keep the softer, more upscale aesthetic that you want. Used elmc is great, but they come up rarely.

    What makes you think that? I've had some dye rub off the topcoat onto light colored fabric with a brand new jacket, but it didn't persist very long, and washed out easily.

    LOL, Langlitz is in no way inferior to Japanese craftsmanship. Just look at what used Langlitz sell for in Japan. They're more expensive than new Freewheelers or Flat Head in many cases. The grass is always greener.
