    Cooper isn't the only repro with the large collar syndrome. I have two Asian -made copies with gaping collars. I wear turtleneck sweaters in the colder weather and no one notices the flaw.

    With all the pork spending the Federal gov't does, it wouldn't cost much, comparatively,to fund the WW2 warbirds as they perform throughout the states. Static displays just don't give enough for the senses to appreciate. However, unless one visits the Smithsonian, it won't be likely to find...

    Texas Girl, Your house has some vintage like features visible in the photo. The arched windows were popular in certain Victorian buildings.

    Will Elder, MAD founder, dead at 86

    I went to Iona College in New Rochelle, NY in the late 60's early 70's. Mad Magazine portrayed many scenes in that city since one of the artists lived there. All my comics are long gone.

    Dark green makes a nice looking leather jacket. General George Patton wanted green A2's for his tank crews, but the Army denied the request.

    How sad and pathetic that Irena Sendler was passed over for the Nobel Peace Prize in favor of Al Gore(who has done nothing notable in the line of peace-making). That politics won out over true daring and sacrifice is quite telling where the Nobel committee is concerned.

    The late TV series "Babylon Five" had some great themes concerning the attempt to maintain peace among multiple races of beings. B-5 was a massive space station that over 200,000 beings from various planets inhabited.

    Old military long coat

    If you like the coat, buy it. The insignia are obsolete now so there should be no big deal about endorsing any form of government. It is a good looking garment and a real bargain.

    I appreciate that you printed the obit for Dick Rossi. I remember reading about him when I was a kid in the 60's. Another of the "greatest generation" goes off to a well deserved rest.

    Brad Your house has some charming features such as the stairway balustrade and trim. The brickwork out front gives the place a solid look(also you never have to paint). May you enjoy it for many years!
