Ha, me too, but in this case a 4 pocket 'vintage' Wrangler with blanket lining, looks like it was never worn....$9.00!
I don't like the 2 pocket versions of any 'jean jacket', I think they only look good on heavier build guys, they definitely don't flatter narrow dudes.
I could be wrong but I believe that you have to have your photos hosted online elsewhere inorder to upload them to this forum. Many other forums allow you to upload straight from your harddrive which certainly is more convenient. I have a number of nice jacket pics I'd like to post but never...
That fit is perfect, shoulder seams right where they should be, ...nothing worse than seeing shoulder seams hanging an inch or two off the shoulder which seems to be endemic for some reason.
It is annoying when a company acts in this manner. How was the actual quality of the El Salvador Enfield? leather, stitching, etc.??
I received a reply from Kim/Vanson today, 3 months in she says the jacket is "slowly progressing, may get it shipped before the end of the year".
Personally...
Your cordovan Bootlegger looks fabulous Edward. I have to admit that I would rather have some consistency in panels as well. I've seen two jackets where mismstch is rather extreme to the point that it is the first thing that strikes you about the jacket rather than thinking "what a beautiful...
Thats one fine looking jacket Gancho, I really like the biker's bi-swing choice. Can you tell me which of the pictures are more true to colour when out in the sunshine? ....the dark top pics or the lighter brown bottom pic?
My samples suggest the darker but hard to say from a small piece under...
Hmm. Well I guess that explains it. When I first enquired with Vanson in August they said "3-4 months", when I placed the order a few days after that it became "4-6 months" and as you note accompanied by a "but who knows" kind of overtone. I'm just hoping that I get it before next year's riding...
Custom Bootlegger
Edward you have to give us a description of your upcoming custom Bootlegger. Can't mention that and just leave us hanging man!
I am going to order a Bootlegger after my Enfield finally shows up (hopefully before I kick off).
However after 3 months consideration I still am...
Interesting to hear people's different experiences/perceptions of the wearability according to "ounces".
Does anyone happen to know what Vanson's competion weight might be in ounces?
(nice colour brown on the Goodwear)
Not sure but I understood "cows" were those female bovines used in the dairy industry whereas "steers" are a range and feedlot animal grown for beef. I don't know if all male steer are "snipped" or even if this has any bearing or not or if there is any difference in the hides between cow and...
Ordered a custom Enfield in mid August and am finally starting to get antsy. Hoping it won't be one of those 6-8 month affairs.
Anyone place an order and get it recently?
Ted
That's interesting news, I didn't realize Aero offered chrome vs. veg tan. I thought all of their hides were chrome tanned.
I don't think I spotted that chrome vs. veg tan info or the Buffalo on their website (though a member featured his Aero Buf. jacket here recently, ...got the impression...
Hmm, wonder if that's American Bison which many call buffalo or if it's the Asian water buffalo that is widely used. I understand there is a difference in hand, grain etc. but don't recall what.
If the jacket had been one size smaller .......... ;)
