He was mostly dissing the below 30 crowd... Although he did mouth off about older men wearing hats, but the article was mostly directed at teens and 20-somethings who wear hats to be "hip".
I think he's just insecure... I'm sure deep inside he's always wanted to wear a real hat, but he's...
I think the reason we try to find a "reason" is for the benefit of our significant others... We try to convince them that we NEED to buy a new hat even if we only WANT to buy one.
Thanks to a very generous member from COW (Club Obi Wan), Texan Scott, I now have 3 fur felt hats (all Indy style, though); a Christy's, Federation IV Deluxe and a Peters Bros Custom Soft Rabbit.
I wear the Fed IV every time I'm out and the PB for short errands (bringing my kid to school) as...
Well, it would be a nice add-on to the sweatband name... You could even have a picture of yourself on the liner, haha!

The worst thing that could happen is leaving your hat in a bar or restaurant... that's when the name / business card /...
Well, the only hats I've seen being worn here are native straw hats (some which look like panamas), straw or leather cowboy hats, cloth stingy brims (yeah, the hipsters) and some wool fedoras.
The Philippines is not a felt hat wearing country in general... So seeing somebody else wearing a...
