The trick is to pick just one...
Carole Landis, and the "pre-Lilly Munster, Yvonne De Carlo, are quite stunning. But, to pick one, I'd have to say, Ava Gardner.
Or better yet, Kate Beckinsale, as Ava Gardner, in The Aviator.;)
I had a five-button, "Radar O'Reilly" sweater when I was in the PA ANG. I loved the thing. I didn't think it was bulky at all. I was able to wear it under my BDU shirt. It was more comfortable than the issue expedition weight polypro underwear. The polypro was too bulky, and too hot to wear...
MK, I'm late to the party, as usual.....
Let's not forget "Across the Pacific." Looks like only the right shoulder "gun flap." Is it possible that Bogie is wearing the same coat in several different films?
Same actors too, as "The Big Sleep," same film studio. Same wardrobe department?
The Lost World's Safari Bush Jacket seems like just what I was looking for, but the price is a bit much for something I would actually wear in the 'outback.' Any other suggestions for a more reasonable one?
Actually, yes! But, not for hacking on the trail. The coat is called a "shadbelly."
As per the The United States Equestrian Federation and the United States Dressage Federation, regulations.
"Dressage riders, like their horses, are dressed for formality. In competition, they wear white...
Really!?
Here's a company that makes "squadron scarves" for US Air Force units.

Thanks Indycop. It was an "action shot." Black Jack wasn't one to stand still for very long.
Sean, I think he's mostly QH, with some Saddlebred and mutt thrown in...:) He belongs to a friend of mine that does a hunting guide operation in Colorado each fall.
The smooth leather "issue" boots, are just fine in garrison, crossing a few mud puddles, or a stream and you're fine, but all day in wet grass, or mud and the water starts to soak in. Under "field" conditions you'll wish you had waterproof boots. Someone mentioned Gore-Tex socks. They work, but...
I second that. The "issue" boots are all leather and once you get them wet, you're done. One of the coldest I was in the field was on a 55 degree day, and wet boots.
I have a pair of Matterhorn's that I use for hiking. Very comfortable. Danner's would be my second choice. They both have a...
Always thought horseradish went with roast beef. But, for the summer BBQ hot dog, I recommend "Stadium Mustard," yes, it's actually the brand name.
"Served and enjoyed at Cleveland Stadium for more than 50 years, this mustard now also has the honor of being requested on three space shuttle...
Indycop is right. During the American Civil War - Indian War period, Engineers used the same yellow hat cord as the Cavalry, after 1902 they had switched to a two color, Scarlet & White cord.

Hope that helps!
Back from Eternity (1956). Robert Ryan, Anita Ekberg, and Rod Steiger. A decent remake of Five Came Back.

In the book version of "For Your Eyes Only," as Bond prepares for his mission, he buys a large aluminum flask, filling three quarters of it with bourbon and the rest with coffee.
Though I'm with carter on this one, I prefer a "Highlander" coffee, with Glenfiddich. ;)
With thanks to, "Make...
