Here's my little collection. I have another 10 on the way (got a bit carried away on Ebay!!).
I think some of them were bought from fellow loungers.
I also keep them inside their own plastic bags inside a pretty floral storage box. I don't have enough to sort them...
It's amazing! A lot of it is 80s, and after the New Year they started bringing in 90s stuff, but it's not at all difficult to find clothes older than that.
The prices are really cheap too- about £20 for a day dress.
Personally I prefer the little one off Regent Street. I would always use...
I wear vintage ones from Beyond Retro in London. They're about £8 or so- Billy bargain!!
I've just bought some vintage patterns too so I'm about to make my own repro ones.
Are these the Black Casual ones? They're also made of twill.
I have them and I wouldn't recommend them either. They don't have a button at the top of the fly, so it constantly falls down, especially when I sit down. It's particularly embarassing when in public and you stand up to find the fly...
My fiance finances most of them. I'm a student, so I don't often have a lot of money but he is a very generous gentleman and likes to treat me.
He's not much into vintage himself but he appreciates my love for it. We did actually recently get him a 1960s coat and 1950s shoes, so it seems to...
I put tweeze, although I very rarely do that. Maybe every two or three months.
They're naturally quite shapely. I wish they were a bit more defined and often think about getting them waxed in a beauty place but never get round to it. I'm afraid that they won't quite get my Grace Kelly vision...
I am the vintage kid.
My Dad, in particular, is in love with the 60s which is where my affair with all things vintage started.
My Grandma and Grandad are (were, in the case of my Grandad) both hugely into modern history and my Grandad would scour antique shops looking for treasures.
I...
I have been wondering something for the past few days and wonder if anyone here could help me?
I understand that people generally were smaller in the mid-century period, and therefore they would have smaller feet which makes it impossible for me to find vintage shoes on Etsy. But it seems...
That's because Frizz Ease is amazing!
I know it's expensive, but I will only use the Frizz Ease range on my hair. Nothing else. That includes shampoo, conditioner, moose, gel and serum.
Oh, wait, I use Elnett hairspray...
But my hair is much more manageable since I started using it...
I do actually do this, although not in such a structured way so it's not something I've ever thought of before.
Like Cici, I'm a student so if I'm at home I will just wear something really casual, that I wouldn't want to wear out and about.
When I leave the house I will wear a daydress or...
Yep, really curly. Which, as I expect you find, is fantastic when it's doing what I want it to and horrendous when it's not!! And it usually doesn't!
And thank you :) I like to be helpful.
