How Did I start?
My mother tells me at age five I had a collection of a half-dozen hats, and I used to line them up on my bed, decide which one to wear, and play "store" with the rest. Who would've known that I would fulfill my destiny?
GReen Hornet Fedora
It's unusual for me to see it, but it seems the Green Hornet is one of those gents who can get away with wearing his hat a good two inches above the ears, and it still looks good. Personally, I need my fedora to sit just a few hairs above the ears.
:offtopic: Hey Jeremy, I will have to pay you a visit next time I am in the city. I would like to see your operation, if you are willing to give a tour. I am an online retailer only, with visions of a storefront one day in a place with tumbleweeds and drifters. We do a lot of hats each...
Thanks. I will provide more information, links, etc in the merchants section once everything is sorted out and the hats start coming in. These were actually quite a find, and will be exclusive to us until they are gone. I suspect that the prices to the public will be about half of the factory...
The factory Chatham for '06 has a 2-3/8 briim. Certainly not too big for most folks. Works for me, and I am 5'10" as well. If you like them shorter, I would suggest the Saxon at 2" or the Selby at 1-7/8.
Very nice job. Were you able to push the center up? A little hair spray on the center when you push it up will help hold it there if it does't want to stay.

My suggestion (which works for me) is to make the "C" crown deeper, and then while soft from steam, use your index finger and gently push the pop-up area. Also, for more defined lines around the pop-up, pinch the "c" or teardrop into a tight crease where the pop-up center meets the crease. Let...
Top Shelf Stetson Sovereign Quality Fur Felt. The Chatham in my opinion is one of Stetson's best "C" crown fedora, aka Teardrop. It has a 2-3/8 inch brim, grosgrain band, Stetson pin and feather available in a variety of colors. I have a Downs of the same quality felt, and it's my everyday...
Just a couple of stiches in the same color thread should do the trick for you. If there is a sweat band, be sure not to sew through it, but keep the stiches low and closer to the brim. My 2 cents.
A vast sprawling conglomeration of urban development that stretches for miles and takes many hours to navigate; divided into what is knowN as the North, South, and West suburbs, and any combination of those directions. There are none to the East. ;)
Personally, I would let it dry and tackle it with a hat-sponge, aka hat eraser. I clean most hats without chemicals or solvents just using this tool, and it should surely work on a coffee stain. It's worked on much worse, and the felt is never saturated with anything. Just loosens the fibers...
I do have to agree with this post. I am now wearing hats that only a year ago I "thought" look ridiculous on me. I didn't like the high crowns, and I didn't like short brims. Although I still don't wear the combination of the two, both styles individually, are becoming quite popular these...
