I own a Jaxon Monk and Iconoclast -- the latter being my rain hat. It's held its shape through many a downpour.
VHS is actually a great place to start a hat collection. The prices are reasonable enough not to scare off first-time buyers. Once you get that monkey on your back you can always...
Try the Mustek for about $160.00. Warning, though: I heard it doesn't work so well with new versions of PhotoShop or Windows (although it works fine on XP).

I think it's an MPAA rule: no guns pointed at characters in trailers and posters. The European version of the trailer is so innocuous, even with the pointed guns.
I guess we Americans should be thankful they weren't replaced by those walkie-talkies from E.T.
Here's a nod to Security: I caught a flight out of LAX yesterday morning, and arrived at the airport with about :30 minutes to spare. Too bad the line through Security was about an hour long!
After about 2 minutes in line, though, an officer went down the line asking for people's departure...
Yep. At least the one in Long Beach does. Of course, it's in a very tourist-y part of town so it's not so surprising.
Warning: if you order online, they sometimes run small.
I bought their Jaxon Iconoclast at the Long Beach location. The "adult" fedora section is pretty tiny compared to the rest of the store. I also ordered their Jaxon Monk from their site. Not a bad hat but I recently traded up to Hollywood Hatters in L.A.
More expensive, but better hats.
Well, now you're just being silly.
It's obviously Wm. Randolph Hearst in drag:

Mr. Lucky, I didn't know he was moving! Will he still be on Melrose or...? Hopefully, it's bigger digs. I love his shop, but if more than 2 customers are present, it's "Excuse me/pardon me/excuse me."
Because you're in the L.A. area, do yourself a favor and go see Sal over at Hollywood Hatters (on Melrose just east of La Brea). The guy knows his hats.
My last purchase was a month ago: I was looking for a wide-ish brimmed, fur pork pie but those aren't readily available. Sal sold me an...
Back in the '80s, Night Flight used to run these and I've loved them ever since. Thanks for the link -- it never occured to me to look for them on YouTube!
Of course, you've just cursed me from getting a good night's sleep tonight...
So tonight ABC reran last season's season-ender, only this time they included little trivia bits on the bottom of the screen. For the most part, I found them distracting (and would have much preferred that they reran all of last season's episodes), but some "easter eggs" were interesting...
